Matt Bragga told me that Tennessee Tech did not bid to host a regional. So, they’ll hit the road.

I think they'll be a 2 seed at one of the Carolina regionals

How pissed would you be if your school didn't even bother to put a bid in?

LSU being lower than a two seed is crazy to see

Their regular season was trash. And as I've been saying, this SEC tournament means nothing. #2 or #3 seed is where they belong. Those are identical seeds in the regional.

They’ll send TN Tech to UNC or ECU.

I dunno. In the Carolina regional area you'll have Duke, ECU, SCarolina, Coastal Carolina all as legit two seeds that I figure will fill up those slots. I think TN Tech is likely looking at a destination of Tallahassee, UConn(perhaps), Ole Miss, Auburn, or Georgia.

The last few years the selections have truly been regional, which worries me because the Fayetteville Regional this year, could possibly be the EXACT same teams as last year.

LSU finished 15-15 in the SEC which isn’t trash by any means. LSU is a victim of their own program success. If they weren’t such a national power they would be getting a lot of recognition for what they are doing in the SEC tournament with all the top teams they are beating. LSU is down compared to years past and even the down year is better than most SEC teams good years.

Get your facts straight. They deserve a 2 seed but we will take a 3 in an easy regional.

LSU’s schedule looks like a 3 seed because the losses to non NCAA tournament teams especially at home with road games weighted more:

Non-conf:
2 Notre Dame-95
1 Southeastern Louisiana-80
1 @Louisiana-57
1 Hawaii-153
1 Louisiana-57
1 @Tulane-84

Conf:
1 Missouri-48

The LSU road record is bad but even more the team opponents' winning percentage and its opponents' opponents' winning percentages aren’t good. Drawing Tennessee and Missouri from the East to go with South Carolina and Vanderbilt didn’t help that situation.

No it wouldn't. They won the regular season Big12 title. The Big12 will get two host sites.

The Hawaii loss is the only real bad one. Most of those losses were at the beginning of the season . It’s all good. We judge our program on post season wins anyway.

The way I see it at this point:

1. Florida
2. Stanford
3. Ole Miss
4. Arkansas
5. North Carolina
6. Oregon State
7. Florida State
8. UGA, Clemson, Stetson, or Texas Tech

I think UGA has the best combo of RPI and SOS of those 4 but it has 3 other SEC teams already in the Top 8 working against us.

Stetson would seem like the most likely but their stadium only holds 2500 people whereas the other 3 teams have held NCAA regionals and super regionals before. Plus, the state of Florida will already have 2 teams in the top 8 so it's not like college baseball will be hurting for exposure in Florida.

Clemson and Texas Tech both have worse RPIs (11 and 10, respectively) and SOS (54 and 15) than UGA (9 and 4) but have amassed more wins (45 and 39 to UGA's 37)
