I think Georgia will take a step back this year and lose 3 games.

Then Georgia fans will start thinking Smart is just like Muschamp -- one hit wonder (i.e. 2012) and will start going against him.

I do really believe that. They lose more than they'll admit, and other teams will be on the up this year.

Screw Georgia.

It will definitely be tough to replace 3 LBs and our RB tandem. I do think we take a step back (I think we end up 10-2, not sure who the loses are to, yet), but I also don't think the fan base sours on Kirby 1 year after winning the SEC, winning the Rose Bowl, and making it to the NCG. If he takes a step back with an absolutely LOADED roster the following year, then some grumbling will start.

We're still buttfricking Florida in Jacksonville this year, though.

You are in for an arse beating like last year that I witnesses in J'ville.

I found it funny walking into the stadium and how many fans believed they were actually going to win. Delusional!

They got offended when I said otherwise and walking out afterwards they were crying like bitches.

11-3 ain't too bad. That's how we followed up 2002. Rank of 6.

They should but their schedule will make losing three games virtually impossible and their recruiting is at such a level that Smart could survive a couple of seasons like that in a row anyway without too much criticism.

UGA has 5 tough games next year: @ South Carolina, @ LSU, UF, @UK and Auburn. I don’t see them going any worse than 3-2 in these 5 games.

It's a nice thought, but since their schedule is on par with Jacksonville St, I'd say it's not actually possible.

The toughest games IMO are at Missouri (early on in the season with a prolific QB and young secondary), at SC (similar reasons), at LSU (Baton Rouge is tough), and Auburn at home.

I wouldn't be surprised if they go 2-2 in those games, but 3 losses would be a shock.

So my thought process is along the same liner as yours.

The most likely losses are SC or Auburn.

Only 2 losses I could see is SC and AU. We have AU at home though. LSU on the road could be tough back they have very few scholarship DB's. We could light up that secondary, and they lost Guice and will have a new QB. It is on the road though and Aranda is a great DC that could work some magic in the secondary. I just don't think they have the depth at DB.

Ahhh your threads are masterful and well thought out. You reign supreme in Rant World...now go play in traffic.

UGA will take a step back...the defense loses a lot of experience...but the schedule is Charmin soft. Anyone proudly proclaiming a win over UF is basing it on last year only. Not saying we win but not saying we lose either. We may just be a lot lot better than last year....we do have some talent on our roster last time I checked. SEC games are never gimmes, especially rival games.

UF is closer to Kentucky than they are to UGA in that regard.

They play in the shitty east, and they play Georgia tech every year, so losing 3 games is impossible.

Every team has "some talent" but the Uf talent level is as low as it has been in decades if you are to believe recruiting rankings.

We will take a step back next year, but only due to youth. That youth should progressively get better as the season goes on. Byt he end of the year we should be better (maybe a lot) then the beginning. So any tough opponents early int he season will be our biggest challenge imo.

As far as talent goes, we out-talent(stars-wise) everyone on our schedule, so in all honesty, this will be the first year we get to see how good Kirby really is at developing talent.

Should be fun

You're going to get run. The talent differential is vast. I see one loss at best. The op is insecure and trying to convince himself.
