UGA is in a good spot much like Florida was after they finally hire The Head Ball Coach. This season will show if Kirby can actually manage his team entitlement factor (if that were to be the case) after having a really great year. UGA isn't used to being at the top so we will see how they handle it. Bama couldn't handle it in 2010 even though they had the players. We'll see.

Then Georgia fans will start thinking Smart is just like Muschamp -- one hit wonder (i.e. 2012) and will start going against him

Gee,another UF fan comparing Smart to Muschamp ...not even close.

Smart recruited and developed a top tier QB in his 1st
full recruiting class.Something Muschamp couldn't do with 4 classes.

You were not balanced and it was easy to spot your weakness. You couldn't move the football on O and depended upon your D to give you a short field and your STs to make plays. We were a complete team on both sides of the LOS last year. That is the difference.

Bama did handle it in 2009 though. That would be more comparable. 2010 you were coming off a year where you had done all you could do.

So far KIrby is

is 2-0 vs. Auburn outside JH.

2-0 vs. SC with two double digit, ho hum, wins

1-1 vs. UF.

We have more overall talent on the roster now than we did the previous two years. I like our chances.

He did recruit them. One was an Elite 11 MVP. But they never panned out.

Starting a plethora of really weak threads seems to be your calling. I admire that.

Need to wake the Georgia folk up. They think they're just going to sleepwalk through their schedule next year.

The joke is on them.

I'm thinking they've got the pre-season title wrapped up already.

Your guy’s offense was so good because of 2 Mark Richt recruits that are now gone.

Who is that? because I am pretty sure the two you are talking about were on the team the three years prior, too. You want to scream and say that we won (you and Straws....you really want to hitch your wagon to straws and Chip Kelly?) because we had Mark Richt's recruits, but Kirby has been recruiting better than mark Richt. By a large margin.

Muschamp didn’t get squat from Meyer.

And he didn't improve anything with his recruits, either. Defensively? Very good. offensively? not so much. Muschamp could not develop a QB. We already know Kirby can.

But obviously having very highly rated recruiting classes helps.
Ya think?

Butch Jones had some really highly rated ones too...
Remind me when Butch Jones took the Vols to the National Championship game again?

And yet it is the Gator fans on here talking about all the talent you have.

I'm pretty sure you said something similar right before the season last year, too. Consistency is your forte.

We're hunting. The fans outlook has very little to do with the coach and players outlook. But I'm loving seeing this from the other side. I saw UGA folks downplay Meyer for a few years as well.

Out of the three posts you made about UGA, Bama, and LSU, this is the only one that got significant bites. Georgia is feeling their oats after last season. I like it. We need more rambunctious and aspirational fanbases here
