He’s laid a nice foundation and has a strong nucleus in place but absolutely no excuse to not make the second weekend with this team.

If you cannot get it done in March the rest of the season is irrelevant.

We will see this same shite next year in all likelihood. 25 or so wins and a high seed and everything squandered in the tournament.

Take a chance on somebody else, Phil. The ceiling with this old frick is just too low to waste this same team again next season.

And your list of coaches who will actually come to Knoxville if you fire a guy who just won SEC COY and an SEC title is?

Two months ago you said this Vols team is shite and were over performing. The only think you are consistent with is your hatred of Barnes for some reason.

I would say Tennessee overachieved this year and Rick Barnes has the program ahead of schedule. I mean they were picked, what 13th in the league before the season? You sound dumb and mad.

Looks like Auburn and Kentucky are going to have to tote the water for the conference.

The cream is coming to the top.

I’d like to see us take a chance on a Wes Miller type.

Exponentially higher ceiling than what you’re getting with Barnes.

The lack of paint touches today was total coaching malpractice.

Missing Alexander was obviously a big issue defensively, but this game was lost on the offensive end with awful execution and an ungodly amount of 3s when Williams could have gotten 25-30 or forced a double every time.

Barnes has overachieved.

Tennessee is a football school.

UT got a SEC Championship. To advance in the tourney you need to pay $5-$8 million per for a coach. Are the Vols ready for that?

So he can leave for UNC once Roy retires?

We are paying damn near $5 for a coach in football and we have not been a relevant football program in two decades and likely never will be again.

We should be willing to pay whatever it takes to compete in basketball, where we have a good bit of recent success. We are very close to breaking through but obviously aren’t committed enough as we insist on wasting resources on a sport we will never compete in again.
