Shoney's (TN) was part of the Shoney's group that included Lee's Famous Recipie, Captain D', and a few other concepts.
Jerry's (KY) was part of Jerrico that included Long John Silvers and some other concept chains
Big Boy I think was from Ohio and included Bob's Big Boy and Frisch's Big Boy
As far as I am aware, none of these three ever was part of another of the 3.

Interesting. They even had the same menu. There had to be some sort of agreement between the 3.
