Holgo
2 drunks in charge of one offense, what could go wrong.

So along that line, what do you think of Dana at WV this year? They worked well together and both could be on the market this year.
WVU would have to crash and burn hard for Holgo to be let go. As long as Grier is healthy they are going to at worst be the 3rd best team in the Big 12.
Also, if he got canned he has done well enough at WVU that he'll get another HC gig well before he has to scrounge around for an OC job.

I honestly had no idea what their expectations are this season.
I was posting some latenight drunk thoughts at 3:49AM, thinking about how Holgorsen and Kliff could get back together and rain hell on a new college town. I don't know what the standards are at West Virginia these days, but he hasn't been to a legit bowl since 2011 and lost the vaunted Russell Athletic Bowl and the Some Part of Dallas You Don't Normally Visit Bowl last year.
But I guess he still has a while to coast on that big win in the Motel 6 Cactus Bowl after the 2015 season.

He signed a contract extension in '16 that takes him through '21. They'll owe him $8.1 million if they fire him this year and that drops to $6.9 in his last three years so odds are if they are done with him they'll wait another year as long as he gets them to another bowl.
I don't think they like all the 7 win seasons but I think most of them realize RichRod was more of an aberration than the norm.
IMO they should win 9 or more w/Grier running the show though. That dude is good and their offense should be able to put up big points on everyone in the conference. They'll probably be favored in every game up until November when they have the two Oklahoma schools to end the season. If their D can produce some turnovers vs OU and OSU they should have a good chance to win the conference.

Maria Taylor with the SEC network interviewed Alaka about changes on campus and he mentioned that under Sumlin they used to have “No sweat Thursdays” where they weren’t allowed to sweat at all during any of their practices. Now he said they struggle to keep up with Fisher’s intensity and sweat the whole practice.
How is it I’m shocked and not surprised at the same time? We knew all of sumlin’s teams were soft and he favored swag over physicality, but damn that’s weak. No wonder we folded like a cheap tent in the back half of seasons.

No wonder snowflake Santino was trying to follow Sumlin, it does speak to the character of the guys that have stuck it out, culture shock can be a hell of a thing to overcome.
