And it begins

Arizona QB Brandon Dawkins announced that he has decided to transfer out of new head coach Kevin Sumlin‘s football program. While no specific reason was given for the quarterback’s decision to move on

They’re going to be sorely disappointed. The uninformed opinions about Sumlin and offense success are a beautiful thing to read now that we’re safely in the distance. Rich Rod to Sumlin Maxine is going to be a beating. Khalil Tate can’t save them (not forever anyway)

He'll be reasonably successful there IMO. He'll dominate Herm Edwards in recruiting and Arizona has solid talent. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him consistently go 8-4/9-3 or so with the occasional 10 win year, and at Arizona that will keep you around.

He is in a division with Utah, UCLA and USC. Minimum 3 conference losses per year. He'll play at least 2 of Oregon, Stanford, Washington and Washington State every year as well.

QB Whisperer. He's the best coach nationally at running QBs off the campus. No one betta.

Granted, the secw has 3ish teams above him, but he had a top 15 talented team in the country here and struggled against teams with way less talent consistently.

Dawkins is a junior and he has no chance to start over Khalil Tate who is a sophomore.

If he wants to start he has to transfer. This has nothing to do with Sumlin.

How is UCLA an automatic loss when he beat them once and lost once only by a '93 Oilers-scale choke?

i love how rival fans dogged him for years for being the soft player's coach that he is, but now that hes gone hes an underrated coach that was being held back by aggy.

2012 Texas A&M 11–2
2013 Texas A&M 9–4
2014 Texas A&M 8–5
2015 Texas A&M 8–5
2016 Texas A&M 8–5

I would say he did exactly that.

You need to stick to the narrative. We can always see our fired coaches doing well in the PAC or on the West Coast. DeRuyter, Spav...just lighting it up out West where anything goes.

There is a huge drop in level of talent and recruiting.

Utah and UCLA are mediocre programs.

uhhh UCLA football shits on arizona football, has a better coach, and recruits better than arizona

you can argue utah, but arizona is 100% beneath UCLA in the pac 12 hierarchy

Historically sure, but UCLA is a lousy program right now. Chip Kelly won't be able to use the recruiting tactics he did at Oregon because the NCCA is essentially camped out in his backyard. I'm not sure he's the lock to improve them many think.

Because he had more talent talent at A&M both years, and at zona he will be deeply on the talent deficit side.

Chip kelly won a tremendous amount of games without his own (or highly ranked) recruits
