Oh that’s all?
The OP made a correct statement. LSU was a win at Bama from winning the West.
That doesn't mean they would have beaten UGA in the SEC Champ game and the loss to Troy most certainly excluded LSU from any play off picture. Nonetheless, they were still a W at Bama from winning the West.
Now, how far off is LSU from beating Bama. That's an entirely different matter.

There's that chance. LSU is usually good for 1 upset a year, and State does go to BR

Coach O, the ace recruiter, didn't sign a single CB this year either, he's working overtime to ruin our DBU status.
He even admitted it's part of his plan.

Hard to believe LSU was only one SEC win at Alabama shy of winning the West last year
And I was only 305 electoral votes shy of being elected president in 2016.

No QB, Les was a HC on a scalding hot seat, Cam was a lame duck OC, Alleva petered out on canning Les because the state governor intervened?
According to you, not much has changed from Nov '15 to Feb '18 within the politics of LSU football.

I'm predicting 7-5 (4-4 SEC) for the Tigers next year, with Ed Orgeron being fired on Sunday, October 21, 2018 after a loss to Mississippi State.
You are crazy! Keep believing it though.

if LSU were to have beat Miss State as expected, that leaves LSU, Alabama and Auburn at 7-1, 1-1 against each other. 2-0 vs the East.
What are the tiebreakers? Rankings (LSU would be lowest, as they had the horrible loss to Troy; Auburn had the loss to Clemson, Bama was otherwise undefeated)?
Bama then wins the West?
BTW LSU should take into account that everybody they beat fired their coach, except Ole Miss who would have, if not for probation. And we STILL couldn't tie for the West in that environment.

We still can't beat anyone but AUBURN!!!
LSU had a good season, but to say the only thing that kept you from winning the West was beating Alabama just seems like an odd thing to post.

You put wayyy too much confidence in Alleva If you think he will be fired in that short amount of time. Don’t think it will happen and I definitely can’t 100% guarantee that...

That's really hard to believe considering how poorly LSU played on offense most of the season.

However, I am sane enough to know LSU is so much further away than just a QB away. We are now a QB, HC, OC, AD, and state governor away. Ironically, the 6-2 SEC record is normally very strong, especially with 5 road SEC games last year. Was LSU's best since 2012.
I'm predicting 7-5 (4-4 SEC) for the Tigers next year, with Ed Orgeron being fired on Sunday, October 21, 2018 after a loss to Mississippi State.
What say the rest of you guys?
Are you really that sane? Why don't you just keep this bullshite on the tRant where you fools bitch and cry everyday about our football program
