Take off the red and blue glasses. Mike White would have moved on if he had any success here.

I’m starting to understand how Missouri fans must have felt last season.

Haven’t posted over here for a while. Just kinda took a break from the recruiting period and being a down year in B-ball. I honestly love Andy Kennedy and thank him for his time here and loyalty. I mean OM basketball is not the easiest job. Through all the ups and downs over the years, it has been nice knowing we had a decent coach, but most would agree it’s time to part ways. And I hope he can find maybe a mid major school he can excel at.

Talking to friends of friends of friends ha, the next hire could be just about anyone out there. We all can agree it isn’t going to be a flashy name, but an up and comer that has passion for the game will suit me fine. Some names mentioned from some people, and take it all with a grain of salt are Grant, Dooley, and Forbes. I would be happy with any of those but knowing us, it will be another WAOM hire.

All this WAOM talk by "we are OM fans" has gotten old. We've hired Bianco, Kennedy (who most seemed to like and coached 12 years) and Freeze. The first two speak for themselves and Freeze was a great hire until he managed to go off the tracks. Something that could not have been predicted when he was hired. And let's don't forget Mike Smith and the softball program. Lastly, Luke's potential as a head is yet to be decided. If he does what he's supposed to, it might just go quite well. We shall see.

I can agree with you on that. Yea it does get old hearing or saying it, but being a fan of many, many years it’s hard to not look at it that way sometimes. We have made some decent hires, and I guess all those WAOM moments still kinda just linger when you get your hopes up.

I love OM and will defend it until I die. Would love to see us have a bigger impact in basketball. I believe we’re on the right track with the upgrades to facilities and so forth, I just want someone to come in and have a strong desire to make the team the best it can be. Not expecting a final four every year.

Luke beat State. He ended on the highest note he could. I'm at least happy for that, and it provides some sort of potential. Thank God we won that game down in Starkville.

Let’s not be state and act like that’s the only game that matters.

frick all of this and frick the "we won the egg bowl!" Crap. We lost by 60 to Alabama, let Cal throw us around and then blew a 4 touchdown lead to Arkansas and lost.

But nah. Luke loves Ole Miss a whole lot! And he beat State! Forget those other things! He loves the Rebels and hates them DAWGS and that's enough!

Obviously we had a shitty season. I'm not trying to deny that, or say Luke was fantastic. I'm just saying I'm thankful for the egg bowl win, and it was a good win, which shows he has the potential to win us some games that matter. Should I be more pessimistic? I don't know what good that does for me as a fan.

Crazy to think an alumn wouldn’t even want this job. We might end up with a Perry Clark smh

It's not crazy at all that Mike White would turn the job down considering his position and the abilities and prestige UF provides. I'm sure it's Rahim Lockhart's dream job, and if we really needed the alumni pull someone like Keith Carter (already part of the OMAF) would join the program if asked. It's not like we don't have program greats involved in the thick of things. Likewise, that was never the issue with not having Mike White. We theoretically could've gotten him a few seasons ago, maybe, but it would've been an utter slap to AK, and we might still get White a few seasons from now. He would've been great to give a new vision to the program, but it's not in the cards. There's a lot of clamor for Forbes, who wouldn't be a bad hire, but if we're gonna shoot for the stars, let's shoot
