I can’t speak for our entire fan base but it appears that our group here was well prepared for this outcome. I’m glad CNS accepted Dalcourt’s commitment when he did. Like others have said, let’s close out on offense with Sanders and Neal and then focus on front seven for the last 4-5 spots.

December 19 is the day Dean will announce his decision.
"My last day of school is Tuesday because of the All-Star game, and I think I will know my decision in the coming days. I know I am getting close."
There is really about three schools on my list now."
One will have to separate itself from the other two in the coming days. Coaches have been in his home the last couple of weeks and he still has others coming to make their final pitch Monday and Tuesday.

"It will basically be how I feel and how comfortable I am with school, the coaches and things like that. How my mother feels is important too, and that will play into it, but it will mainly be about my feelings towards the school.
ALABAMA: "The culture at Alabama is the biggest reason I like them."
He is not only a top recruit, but a top student that carries a GPA of 4.2. Dean has worked hard to get here and he is thankful for the opportunity.

"I have been looking forward to this day since the recruiting process started," said Dean. "I have been thinking about picking the school, playing college football and living out my dreams. It has been a long process and I am looking forward to December 19."

Well that's good for us. Did he mention any other schools specifically?

How strange is this? State of Ala has three 5* on Rivals. We are going to miss on all three and still finish #1 in recruiting. What if I had told you that 12 years ago

Where's BABAR?

Nakobe Dean has trimmed his list, decision coming very soon

Summarize pls.

It basically says he has 7 schools publically but in his mind he has cut it to 3. The article doesn't say which 3. He said he would know before Dec. 19th.

Didn't say which were the top 3, but this:

AUBURN: "I like the family-feel at Auburn."

GEORGIA: "The coaches and the competitiveness at Georgia."

LSU: "I love how they compete and the physicality there."

MISSISSIPPI STATE: "I like their defensive style."

OLE MISS: "I have a nice feeling at Ole Miss and I think I could help change the culture."

TEXAS A&M: "The intense coaching style is something I really like at A&M."

I really have always felt the kid did not like the depth chart at Bama and wanted to start right out the gate.
I think he feels UGA gives him that shot .MHOP.

UGA has signed like a dozen 5-star OL over the last 2-3 cycles (including this one) lol. I kid, but it's insane how many 5-star OL Pittman has gotten.

Honestly the PR aspect isnt really that bad or maybe i just dont care. A week after Jalen took a shite on them no way you can really swing anything in your favor. Not to mention the two flips we just had. Also hopefully getting Battle soon. Honestly the fact that he didnt want to play center probably turned everyone off.

Saban and Tosh will be at IMG Wednesday to lock-in Trey Sanders and Evan Neal. They might waste a little bit of time on Nolan Smith too.

Someone help me understand why we're taking 1 more DB? We already have arguably the best 2 safeties in the nation committed. We have 3 stout corners in Carter, Turnage and Williams. That's 5 guys. We taking 6? If we drop Williams as a corner, wouldn't we want to replace him with another corner? Isn't Battle a pure safety? Just trying to make sense of our DB recruiting. Not that I'm complaining, they're all elite players.

Also, we really need to close the deal with Dean, Sanders and Neal. Strictly from a PR and momentum perspective...we don't want to take our foot of Kirby's throat in recruiting. We need to reclaim the #1 class this year by finishing strong--unlike last year, especially with Webb flaking out on us.

Sucks much more from a public perspective point of view. Like everyone else, I feel like we all kind of knew this was coming weeks ago (even months).
