I was getting into an argument with my Dad cause he was saying Auburn is Georgia's biggest rival while I said it's Florida. What's the general consensus among the Georgia fan base about who is Georgia's biggest rival?

What sane Georgia fan would NOT say Auburn?

I always thought it was GTech?

Eh, it's Georgia Tech and will always be.

If I were a UGA fan, it would have to be UF. Don't know any UGA's though. Can't say for certain.

We are AU's biggest rival since you guys have obviously accepted Bama as your daddy...kinda sad that one of the great rivalries in CFB is gone.
Not the fault of Bama though.

Well we are the only thing they care about or think about.
While we are busy going undefeated (1993, 2004, 2010),
And winning national championships (1983, 2010, maybe 2004),
they will be focused on and content with the 1 or 2 game lead they have against us in the 100+ year old series and dream of 1980.
They are sorta a joke in all honesty. Not really worthy of rival status from our side. Unlike Bama who is a legit and worthy rival for us.

GT and UF are 1a and 1b in either order just like FSU and UGA are for us. Auburn isn't in the equation

1. Florida
2. Auburn
3. GA Tech
In that order. This is from the perspective of a UGA grad in his late twenties. From the time I was 11 until the time I was like 19 (or something like that) we never lost to Tech. They also don't really challenge us for in state recruits. I don't sweat them at all. I actually cheered for them to win that ACC championship game they played against Clemson. I hate Clemson more than Tech. I would never cheer for Florida or Auburn against any team.

It's according to who you ask. Back in the eighties if I were asked I would have said Clemson. Now I would probably say Auburn or Florida. Another Georgia fan may answer completely different, it's somewhat a subjective thing. I guess our instate rival should be mentioned but that series has been pretty one sided so it does not resonate with me.

As a fan base we are torn between Florida and GT. GT is our traditional rival, but they have not been very competitive lately, so a lot consider Florida.
For me, it is:
Florida
GT
Auburn
Auburn is creeping up on GT, though. Almost nobody considers Auburn our #1 rival, though.

Auburn and UF tied at the top.
