Bookmark this post, downvote it, whatever you want to do. But UGA will win it all next year.
1. We will have the best OL, and one of the best offense in the nation. WR’s will be better, Fromm will be better, and Swift, White, Cook and Holyfield will be nearly on par as Chubb and Michel.
2. Special team will be great again. Losing Nizalek will hurt, but we have a great one coming in, and we will have hot rod, who is one of the best FG kickers in the country. Add in Hardman returning kicks, and we will be at the top again.
3. Our DL will be straight nasty next year. With Thompson, and Ledbetter likely returning, then adding in Clark, carter and Marshall. Not to mention Wyatt and Beal from last year, and cox from this year.
4. Our secondary will be improved. We signed a ton of DB’s last year, and several have already gotten experience. We are going hard after Campbell and Stuart this year(both 5 stars) and should return our best player in Baker.
The one area of weakness will be linebacker. They will be extremely talented, but very inexperienced. However, if Roquan decides to come back, this immediately becomes a strength, as he is the best defensive player in the country.
There you have it, I know this is the rant so there will be probably no real answers, but you will remember this post.

I honestly believe it will be 2019, we will have Fromm, Swift, Hardman, Ridley, Lecounte, Nauta, Rice, Reed, Holyfield.

I have Tua reasons Georgia won't.

No, we won't. Lose too much on defense.
Why set yourself up for disappointment like this? I do agree '19 and onwards we're gonna be a force.

If you guys do I’ll be impressed for the sheer fact that it’s hard to keep a consistent group of coaches together after successful years. You also find out if your players get complacent, much like Florida’s 2009 defense. Good luck to ya

I believe the Dawgs will be really good but we will also get a clue to whether Kirby and the Dawg program can actually handle success. You saw Bama fail to handle it after the 2009 NC and 2010 gave us 10-3 with a dayum good team that get it done. It ain't all about X and O's.
Captain...you got to get your mind right

Our DL pushed your OL around the second half.
Nothing is guaranteed. Even Alabama only wins it all about every other year.

Statistically, the 2009 defense was better than 2008. Pass rush wasn't as good but the LBs and DBs were smothering.
The offense was a complete shitshow thanks to the losses on the OL and at WR.

Highly doubt it.
Also, don't think the loss this year will be good motivation.
UGA will be in danger of slipping up more than once next year as it will be in their minds that they were just 1 play away this past season and will be looking to get back to the big game, not so much week to week. It's hard not too.
AU returned more than UGA in 2014 and was perfectly capable of beating anyone (We beat LSU about 45-7 or something like that). However we were all thinking about the path back to the championship and slipped up when we shouldn't have. We opened the MSU game with 3 straight turnovers on the road and got down by about 20 right off the bat, we had the butt fumble and Nick fumble back to back in the final 2-3 minutes vs Atm, we settled for 3 field goals inside the 10 vs Bama, etc.
Getting back isn't easy even when you have the team to do it. Which I'm not even sure UGA does.

I'm not sure why would wouldnt' be able to "handle it" with the way we're recruiting. Not to meniton a lot of guys that were absolutely crucial to our success this year (Fromm, swift, mecole, godwin, 4 OL, trent thompson, clark, ledbetter, baker, reed, etc) are all back, to go along wiht top ranked classes.

You had a monster 2008 and 2009 team then "dipped" in 2010 then have been monsters every other year. It's also kind of odd to say you "didn't handle success" simply because you lost 3 games in 2010. You lost 1 head scratcher to SC, lost to a good LSU team, and lost to the best AU team of all time with a generational, heisman winning QB. That doesn't mean you didn't handle success, it just means you lost a few games.
And as I said, we're gonna take a step back next yera. I wish everyone on this board would recognize that MOST uga fans feel the same way minus a few oddballs. However, I think 2019 and onwards we are going to be unbelievably good and should be a staple in the playoffs.

Dude, please, tone it down a notch or two. The SEC East itself is no gimme seeing how we have LSU Scar & Mizzou (with Lock) away, as well as a revenge minded Auburn at home. At least half of your post is ifs and shoulds and we don’t know how good some position groups will or won’t be. Example: The secondary WILL be better. If we had a better answer to Parrish in the NCG, he would have been playing. So, you can’t tell me we know the secondary will be better. Heck, I’m just hoping for a secondary at least equivalent to this years.

With Jim Chaney as your OC? Did you watch the game on Monday?
