We are going to have top 10 classes regardless of our assistant coaches thanks to Saban. Get me an elite OC, the wins will do the recruiting for us.

What about Sterlin Gilbert?

This is my choice. Not sure about his recruiting, but he is a very good play caller

I think my list would be
Sterlin Gilbert
Hugh Freeze
Dan Enos
Dan Werner
Jed Fisch
Rick Neuheisel
Matt Canada just for the melt

Sec country lists lock, freeze(longshot) , Canada, and Mcelwain as candidates. Give it to locks if that’s the case. Big weekend next week and we don’t have either coordinator . Lol

Good looking out. I wasnt familiar with James Coley (wiki bio). Interesting. Given his FL recruiting chops, I can see why he would opt to stay at UGA vs going to ATM. He might have interest in coming to UA tho.

That's a really good list. I wonder if Saban like Freeze enough to even consider him. LSU folks sure wanted him.

I didn't even think of this

SEC Country's list is shite (other than Locks).
Maybe CNS already has both lined up.

I don't get the obsession with Hugh Freeze... The guy's offensive philosophy doesn't match Alabama at all.

Josh Jacobs hinting our OC may be Locksley LINK

Regarding Freeze, wouldn’t the whole prostitute/call girl situation sort of hurt us with recruiting? You’d have to think these kids’ moms wouldn’t be too happy with that haha.

Jacobs is on pain meds. Just ignore him

I think he really does appreciate his playcalling and schemes. He executed against our defense well everytime he played us. Saban has always seemed to go out of his way to say how much trouble our d has had against Hugh.

Yea I didn’t like list either. Don’t want Canada at all. That two TE shifting crap would drive me nuts plus I hope we get someone to utilize Tua and our young wrs

One of the big things that I'm looking for in this hire is who would I love to see Saban chew out on the sidelines? Freeze is the leader of that category

Pretty sure Saban and Freeze are tight but his offense is nothing like what Saban prefers. Virtually no downhill running game, just a bunch of 4 WR sets and throw it 50 times per game.

I don’t think it’s too outside the box. But his NCAA issues and personal problems aren’t going to do him any favors.
Saban did hire his OC at Ole Miss, in Dan Werner, as an analyst. I wouldn’t be surprised if his name comes up. He was only hired as QBs coach at South Carolina.

I think its more in line than what u think. He aired out against our D because he knew he would get one on one alot. Honestly thats the most effective way to attack our D. it just requires a competent QB. Hugh has never had the o line and stable of RBs we have here
