Get away with them?

I don't think baker acting up on the sidelines will have any outcome on whether he makes it or not

If he can play between the lines he will make it. If not he wont

Are some of y'all allowed to vote?

He was 23/35 for 287 yards with 2tds and 1int against a top 5 defense in all of college football

This didn't happen. And he didn't just "drill a TCU player coming onto the field". The false urban legend grows....

This never happened either.

All those that I listed had the ability to play between
the lines and none had the maturity or emotional ability to hack it.

Does Drew Brees,Tom Brady,Matt Ryan,Matt Stafford,Eli
or Carson Wentz have those issues?

We asked the guy that was in charge and he said, ‘I don’t know which way to send you.’
Even as the head coach I had to go through their warmup lines to get down to our end of the field. And I wouldn’t have said anything if coach Riley hadn’t made the remark that our guy wouldn’t have gotten hit with the ball if he hadn’t run through the stretch lines. TCU in 20 years has never run through anyone’s stretch lines. We don’t act that way. You’ve never seen us go out to the middle of the field and yell at each other and do all that. And we’ve had plenty of teams try to get us to do it. That’s not the way we act.
I don’t really appreciate them trying to say that we were in the wrong, because that was okay to let a quarterback throw a ball and hit a guy in the head that hasn’t played for two weeks.
Now we all know that Mayfield isn’t your typical poster-child quarterback after the Kansas crotch-grabbing antics that caused him to miss two plays last week and get publicly reprimanded by the Big 12. But Patterson went on to say that while Mayfield was at Texas Tech, where he played in 2013, the signal caller was known for hitting opposing players in the head with footballs:
Now I’m not saying that was the reason, but I’m just gonna give you a little history. Baker played at Texas Tech, and Lincoln was at Texas Tech, and I have a coach that was at Texas Tech and it was common practice. And there was a Texas Tech pretty well known quarterback that hit a guy from A&M in the head, and they all thought it was funny to throw balls and do those kind of things. And it’s their prerogative, they can do whatever they want to, we’re just not going to here.
But I’m not going to make this game, because it’s a championship game, about all that stuff. But if they want to bring it out into the open and they want to call us out they can do it. They said we were the ones trying to cause all the problems, I beg to differ.
But, we’re going to play Saturday, and hopefully it’ll be two football teams that are playing with high intensity the right way, without talking.

This is absolute Gary Patterson nonsense. They do that all the time to intimidate the home team. According to Gary, they'd never headhunt opposing teams best players either because they're good christians, but they do it all the time.

Here they are running through the warmups.

Don't recall a crotch grab or throat slash from em
especially at AU but he certainly isn't the most mature
QB in the NFL and he had a horrible year last year and
ain't doing much better this year.

Of all the current NFL QB's I listed except Eli he's the last one I'd want behind center if I had one game to win.

I’m all for a player who is vocal and leaves it all on the field... unless he does it in a “look at me!” Manner.... then, he is just a DB.

Video of Baker Mayfield drilling TCU foe is damning

That’s the headline of the article you linked. Guy was a complete douchebag whose tired routine of poor disrespected Baker had grown beyond old and silly, especially after winning the Heisman. And then to cry like a little BITCH in the press conference was just pathetic after all his douchebaggery.

I’m sure you would take Jake Fromm. That’s why everyone hates you. You just said “except Eli” the one QB who has beat the greatest QB twice in the SB. I am thankful that 2017 has shown how insufferable UGA fans are. The worst .

There's more to the story and you don't know what you're talking about. Neither does the NYP. They asked the guy who filmed it on his phone if they could use the video and they just ran with it. Patterson ran to the Ft Worth newspaper after it went public to cry foul like the bitch that he is. It was Patterson who sent his LBers to headhunt Mayfield two seasons ago in Norman and they succeeded and knocked him out of the game with a concussion. Patterson isn't a "good guy".

The dude is the epitome of a football player. Scrappy, tough as nails, plays bigger than his measurables and endears his teammates to follow him. He wears his emotions on his sleeves and stays true to himself.

Best pure leader of men in CFB since 2008 Tim Tebow, albeit from a polar opposite style.

It's a bunch of head in the sand "purists" and politically correct a-holes that have the benefit of either old age distorting their memories of what "class" was or a millenial version of what it should be that have raised issue with him.

OU isn't a CFP team without him. He was the most valuable player to his team this year. Very deserving of all accolades.

His criticisms are justified to a degree, but highly blown out of proportion.

My regret is only one up vote to give. And it has nothing to do with their opponent. The kid leaves it all on the field. He got shite this whole year and he threw it in everyone’s face. A true team leader. Show me someone on OU that wouldn’t go into battle behind that guy. That’s a testament of a leader

Baker's antics don't show bad character--they just show that he isn't very smart. Quarterbacks who aren't smart can't have big success in the NFL.
