At some point, we may want to consider that Jarrett isn’t the second coming

... and Gus is going to have to field a complete team to win consistently at a high-level. I am not overly impressed with Chip Lindsey, but we do need some bruising backs to carry the rock if we’re gonna play championship ball. We aren’t a speed team. Lindsey’s offense would work better if we were, but that’s not the reality of how we recruited.

I’m not going to stay negative all off-season, but Gus needs to figure out how to get some balance on this team and shore-up some glaring weaknesses.

He has showed he could be but for some reason the last 2 games he looked like a deer in headlights.

We have most all the tools. Gus just needs to figure out how to Frankenstein them all together into an SEC monster.

He is a good QB. He needs to work on ball security. He fumbles way too much. His pocket awareness needs some work too. He is the best thrower of the ball I have seen at Auburn in many many years though.

Gus needs to lower ticket prices too. They are out of hand.

Stidham is inconsistent just like Gus. Maybe Gatewood will be our savior...

Gus strikes me as someone who wants to win badly, but glimpses of favoritism toward upperclassmen seem to occur. Obviously, it's easy to believe that seniors would perform better -- and we aren't privy to the fumbles/drops in practice -- but does anyone believe that the younger QBs won't get a chance this Spring/Fall?

I'm not a Jarrett hater. I think he gets better with time, but I hope Gus holds a real QB competition this Spring. Anyone have any insights on this?

Jarret's main issue is.......coaching.

Would you let your 5* QB son go play for Gus?

We need a dual threat and until we get it we will always be wildly inconsistent under Gus.

Stidham with a better OL is national title worthy... the turnovers sucked, but we were asking him to do way too much bc we couldn’t block a mediocre AAC DL.

Two TOs came in the 4th when we were forced to throw every down.

How much blame does Hand and the OL deserve for his inconsistency? Its hard to be a good QB when you never feel comfortable in the pocket. Today the OL couldn't open up running lanes and couldn't pass protect either. When there's no running game and no pass protection, I'm not sure even Tom Brady would look very good.

The New York Football Giants hired a new GM this week and I read a quote from his press conference:

"I'm looking for players that hate to lose more than they love to win."

Note, he didn't say that loving to win was not important, he just said he wanted players that hated losing football games down to their very core.

I get the feeling that Smiley McInterceptionFace will never be playing QB for the NY Football Giants. You can throw in a number of other players I saw on that field today too.

I will fix it for you

At some point, we may want to consider that we are running the wrong offense.

Is there another offense available under Gus?

Yeah, I thought when we extended Gus for top money that we were telling Gus "Thank you, sir, may I have another?" with his amazing offense.

He does look like the second coming....of a right-handed Brandon Cox. 10 wins a season, but takes a sack like a champ and sometimes enjoys throwing it to the other team
