For future reference if you don't get Aranda are y'all just going to say you didn't want him?

What fans want or the A&M/Jimbo wants?

I wouldn't have minded him, but Jimbo didn't offer.

Apparently, he was our fallback for our 2nd backup.

At least his name was mentioned. That is a start. Maybe one day a big program will poach him.

And you're right. And the consensus is ... Aggie will still suck five years from now.

Pointless analysis, it’s definitely Aranda. Done deal after their bowl game.

Let me ask this way, if 10-3 is the average record of TAM the next 4 years with no conference titles or major bowls, would the money be worth it to TAM fans?
I ask because at LSU it isn't good enough. Ed O is about to do that in year 1 and is getting crucified. Les was likely close to that over his years, on average, with a National title and another appearance and got run out of town(though it was time). Just curious to the thought process of TAM fans because I tend to believe my own fanbase is a little too sensitive and have somewhat unrealistic expectations. TIA.

Not saying much for aggies. Easily excitable. Chavis was a dang 15.

I think the expectations change as the average changes. For example Sumlin averaged 8-5ish for his time here and after awhile the fan base wanted more. I think 4 years of 10-3 average would be good for those 4 years, but the fanbase would probably start expecting more after that. There are fans in every fanbase that have unrealistic expectation and those that are apathetic. Personally I just want to see improvement and a team trending towards the top, not growing stagnate.

Damn, Texas A&M always has to try to poach something from LSU.

Someone asked this question: Rank these 5 programs in terms of total wins over the next 5 years: TAMU, Texas, OU, LSU, Alabama, Auburn.

Aggie math.

On the off chance you do get Aranda, it only turns up the heat on Orgeron and thus Alleva. So I'm good either way.

Hedging now is a good idea. There’s too many pro-Aranda posts by LSU fans to cover up now.

Is Tim DeRuyter coming back? He was all the rage when he was at Air Force...

I'm old enough to remember these style Aggy threads back when they were "stealing" Chavis from LSU. I'm sure the results will be much better this time around though.
