He's a "firebrand", notorious for having a super aggro approach to everyone except Saban when there is disagreement. He is a good-to-great DC (I haven't been all that pleased with the amount of non-effective blitzes called this year), but everything I've heard and read would make me very hesitant to give him a HC position, especially at a place like UT.

Well he wasn’t at all interested when Currie was AD. Amazing option. Hire him ASAP.

Yall are gonna end up with Kevin Steele as HC, T Martin OC and 3rd and Chavis as DC. Phill will be AD and you will be made to like it.

He showed up at CMRs house allegedly and allegedly had a big problem with something.
Some say he appeared unhinged.

He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

LINK

Which probably makes him a good fit to work with Jabba the Fulmer.

He’s a good DC and a really good recruiter. Does not play the political game well at all though. Routinely challenged our AD (many would say for the better) but also bit back against richt on occasion. He’s like a mini Saban but without real defined reason to his rhyme. Definitely not going to come off as a great spokesperson for a university

When he was a GA at Bama he was one of 3 people who had a head set which could communicate with Saban, Saban thought he had one of the best football minds he had ever met as a GA.

If it happens congrats, I unlike most Bama fans, want him as Saban's replacement, his assholish personality is what it takes to be successful at Bama

Great recruiter.

Great hands-on defensive coach, definitely a guy you want on the field with the cones during drills coaching them up.

Pretty good at scheming and gameplanning on defense, but doesn't have a long enough resume` at DC to really say for sure. His resume` on paper is great, he won NC at Bama as a DB assistant, then got another NC ring as DC at FSU, then did a fantastic job at UGA recruiting and coaching, but really didn't get along with the AD and had alot of problems with our shitty OC and couldn't contain himself. When Richt was fired, it is unknown whether Kirby said "hit the road" or if Pruitt said "I don't want to work for Kirby".

He's had some personal issues. I think he's whipped one issue that was an albatross. Also, today's players don't like to be yelled at and he's had a head coach at a previous stop tell him to tone it down.

Would be the best 22nd choice as a head coach ever, IMO.

He won't tolerate mediocrity, that's why he tries to fight Richt.

He blitzes too much for my taste. As a HC? seriously?

Pruitt is Lane Kiffin as a DC, complete with banging coeds and secretaries. You'll love him.
