Kiffin is still my top choice. Him meshing the Briles offense into his philosophy has turned out to be a huge plus. FAU is damn fun to watch and I’d really love to see what he could do here. I imagine the folks up top would never take a risk on him though.

He’s had great success at his other P5 head coaching jobs and is extremely mature as well, amirite?

Why are you scared of taking a chance on someone who’s clearly changed their approach?

Pure conjecture.
But by all means, keep trying to wish it into existence and convince yourself that he’s “changed” and “learned from Saban” despite quite literally no evidence to the contrary.

I wouldn't label it great success but if you consider the circumstances he did a good job. What he has done at FAU has been great when looking at last year. You could tear apart Norvell's "success" if you really wanted to go for that. I won't argue the mature thing.

Memphis State offense is good, But that defense is shite.

UCF's defense isn't any better and Frost is the guy everyone everywhere was wanting.
It's almost as if the offenses in this game a targeting the weaknesses of the defenses.
Totally unacceptable for Memphis, UCF, and other aac teams not to have a top defense full of NFL players.

I missed where Norvell has left every job he’s had the last decade on bad terms.

I missed where I said any of that. This is why I try not to even get involved anymore. You get these types of responses.

The fact that it is acceptable, results in a 10-1 record, playing in a championship game, and possibly gets the coach a gig in the SEC is precisely what scares me.

I find it hilarious that our idiots in charge want to go after a guy having success in the AAC after just canning a guy who had even more success in a tougher conference (Big10) that ended up being a failure in the SEC.

Petrino had succeeded in this same shot conference. He was ok here.
