What is considered Alabama's biggest upset over Auburn?

Can't seem to recall a time where Auburn was the better team and lost.
More specifically, can't remember a time Alabama was in the dumps and managed an Iron Bowl win.
Side question:
What Iron Bowl featured the weakest meeting of both teams?

Highest ranked team normally wins the game.
Bama looked like they were going to upset us in 2004.

2001 might be the biggest one in recent memory for Alabama but that wasn't a crazy storm the field kind of upset.

That was 85. 84 was wrong way Bo and the biggest upset.

No one expected Alabama to win in 01. They were 4-5 entering that game.
Santonio Beard
Auburn returned the favor in 02 though

Auburn would have finished in the top 10 if not for that loss.
But 1984 was wrong way Bo.

Truth. But to me 02 was the worst because we let their third string white RB run all over while Fran was halfway to College Station.
05 was frustrating but the LSU loss made that team quit. Can’t blame them when you consider how much the defense carried that team without zero help from the offense.
Other than those two the Shula years were expected defeats and after ULM in 07 no one thought we’d
beat Auburn. As bad as six was, they never won by more than 10. Other than that one game (28-18 in 05) every game was one possession.

Bama was undefeated, ranked #4 going into the Iron Bowl in 1994. Auburn was ranked #6.

The Tiffin kick was 1985 and that was no upset.
1984 was Wrong Way Bo. Alabama was 4-6 going into that game.

01 was last big upset for Bama.
02 for Auburn.
02 for Auburn.

1984 and 2001 are probably the two biggest ones since the rivalry was renewed in 1948.

I remember that one pretty well. Zow threw a dime of a TD right before halftime, Beard broke free for another right after halftime and the game was effectively over.

2001 was a decent upset. Several 80s wins were upsets.
I see everyone above me has said the same thing.

In both '03 and '04 Bama scored with less than a minute left to narrow the final margin, but in neither case did they ever touch the ball again. Can't really call those "one possession" games.
To answer the OP, 1984 was one of the rare times AU lost the IB as a prohibitive favorite. Seems like Bama was given less of a chance then than in '01.
