Name something about it unrelated to the university.

Not as long as Starkville exists.

Of the ones I've been to (including Tuscaloosa), it's Auburn by a mile

Starkville and Gainesville are worse.

Also, this isn’t an insult. A town that is booming and beautiful because of the University is the epitome of what a “College Town” is all about.

Lock me up!!

But I've only been to Athens, Auburn, Tuscaloosa, Knoxville, Nashville and Columbia (MO).

Auburn is worse than those. I have heard from reliable sources that Columbia (SC), Gainesville and Starkville are all terrible.

Lulz, what's wrong with Auburn? Gainesville is meh. Columbia, SC is underrated. And let's be honest, if it was not for the campus and cool vibe of downtown, Athens would be a shithole. Felt like Huntington, WV to me.

Nope, its GHETTO arse GAINESVILLE...

If ever in Gainesville, turn on your Pedophile location app, and watch your phone explode with all the little red dots.

Tuscaloosa is a good, not great, college town. Plenty to do downtown, nice lakes, small amphitheater that gets good shows, 3 breweries, and a nice river walk. Athens is a whole different level.

And if it wasn't for Donald Trump, Hillary would be the president... WTF is your point?

Auburn's pretty chill to me. Not as many bars, but it's a nice town.

I have been to all sec towns excluding Mizzou during football weekends(I was under 10 though for some of the stadiums), and non-football weekends (all between 18-22 years old).

Here is the definitive list (I also dont include Nashville because it is so different and by far the best city):

1. Athens

2. Fayetteville

3. Oxford

4. Tuscaloosa

5. Lexington

6. Auburn

t7. Columbia/Knoxville/College station/Baton Rouge

11. Gainesville

12. Starkville
