I see us beating SC, KY, GT. The criminals at Auburn will find some way to screw things up.

But the buck stops with Bama. Do we have a shot? Our defense this year is powerful but I am hesitant to think we can beat them. A family member who knows every detail about football says we wont beat them this year in the SECCG but if we continue this streak into next year we have a better chance at beating Bama in 2018. He's been reminding me all season that Kirby will have to go face the "old man" this year. IMO, Saban will see our weaknesses and exploit it like he does every other team. But they only beat us by a few points in 2012 and our team is 100% better this year.

Also, same person told me that Kirby should consider hiring Mac as OC. He dislikes Chaney as much as I do. But Mac was OC at Bama before he went to Colorado. Or is this family member just having wishful thinking in hoping that Kirby starts picking off some of the previous or possibly current coaching staff at Bama?

I'm not as intense on the details of football as some of you and I'm not looking to get a rash of shite from you guys because I respect a lot of your opinions. Just want to know what ya'll are thinking.

We may have to play Bama, but they have to play us to. We absolutely have a shot.

Gotta get there first......

But yes, if we get there we have a chance....will have to play mistake free but that is what we are doing so far.....this is what a well coached team looks like. Talent has seldom been our problem....it's always been fundamentals and focus.....and we are, at the moment, fundamentally sound and this staff is thus far keeping everyone focused.....who knows what tomorrow brings but right now we are as sound as we look....will take a lot of hard work to stay sound but through 8 games we are as sound as we've ever been

"Do we have a shot?"

Ok, I know we have a shot! I guess I worded it wrong.

On this day in 2012 Georgia was still fresh from an arse whooping from South Carolina and barely beating Kentucky. And we gave Bama hell in the SECCG that year. Even though Bama was better then than they are now.

So HELL YEAH we got a chance against Alabama.

If we are undefeated when we play in the SECCG we will win and eliminate the opponent from playoff contention. The West is ripe for the plucking. Bama will come into the game overconfident and they will choke badly.

We would beat Bama by at least 2 touchdowns if we played this weekend. They survive on their name alone.

Wrong. the buck stops with Georgia. If we win out and make the CCG, then we do indeed have a chance to beat Bama. They are ahead of us in stats only because they haven't had a Notre Dame game to hold them down in points and offense.
That said, their run defense is lights out, so Fromm will have to throw often and on target. That will be the key.

Well we definitely have a shot. But depending on how we play our remaining games I dont think we'd be the favorite. What we've been doing to opponents this year - they've been doing too.

But a win would be oh so glorious.....

One thing I've learned over the 50+ years I've been a Dawg fan is not to listen to people who act like they know everything about football.

If the Dawgs continue to improve each week as they have been doing all this season then when we play Bama in the SECCG, we have a good chance of beating Bama.

Don't forget, last year all the "experts" thought Clemson had no chance of beating Bama and look what happened.

If things go our way, I see the possibility of a Georgia/ND rematch for the National Championship.

This could be the greatest SEC Champ game in history. 1 VS 2. Can't make this shite up.

If we played them 5 times, my guess is we would win once. So I say we have about a 20% chance.

We have a freshman QB, our OL isn't quite championship caliber...and Alabama has been stacking 5* players for years.

Anything can happen in CFB. Kirby has the team focused on the game in front of them. Great trait he learned from Saban. We have the talent to beat anybody in the country. But there are intangibles like luck, injuries, refs, etc. that can work one way or another. There are about 8 teams right now that have an opportunity to win it all. But we absolutely are capable of beating Bama. We need to focus on USCe first.

He doesn't know every detail then, because Alabama returns a crap load off of this team, while we lose a crap load. Yes, we will reload at RB, but Oline, LB, DL will take big hits. We should still be very good, but Alabama will bring back more proven talent than we will.

You do know how many points we are averaging a game, right? Nobody is going to call a game the way everybody wants them too. I really don't have a problem at all with Chaney. I also realize the first game we lose will be squarely pinned on him since many on this board don't like him, though.

We can beat them. We can beat anybody. That is why we are ranked #1 in the country right now.
