There was no reason to give a $12 million buyout with that contrac
The "buyout" was 12 million only if we fired him before he coached a single game you dolts

Massive buyout
Thats the lie
$8M+ for Ed's buyout isn't massive? Compare it to what Mizzou's buyout is for their coach who was similarly in low demand.

So what's the buyout after one season?

i mean it's massive in the sense that it's 8 million more than what it should be, but as someone else posted it's not out of the ballpark for SEC coaches and in fact is on the low end

Coach O has the second lowest 1st year buyout for all the sec coaches (not counting the ole miss interim)
When you are 13/14 in the sec, I have a hard time calling his buyout massive

I think that you need to worry about your shitty coaches buy out instead of coach O.

His buyout ranks 31st on this list and doesnt include everyone's buyout:

Also, keep in mind that's at the end of his first season, buyouts go DOWN over the course of a contract. Odom's buyout is smaller but is also at the END of the 2nd year of his contract, not his 1st year, as well as him being at Mizzou, which is going to pay less as it is being Mizzou (he makes over $1.1M a year less salary than Orgeron). After the fiasco they had, nobody wanted to go there.

You're pissed because after beating us and thinking you were hot shite.....you've fked the pooch hard and are basically going nowhere.

Why is that amazing? LSU fans are only happy if they can fire the coach every year. We also need 11 QB's available so a backup can start every game. And that would be after winning the SEC championship.
You have gone full blown retard. The last coach we fired before Les was Gerry Dinardo. That was back in 99. 18 years ago. You're an idiot.

You are the idiot. Guess you don’t know what sarcasm is.
People wanted Miles first after the 1/9/12 game. The back up qb is always better than the starter according to some fans. Don’t be an a$&hole.

We're you involved in the negotiations. How do you know what was necessary. If anything, it helps recruiting.

Take this to the Ed Orgeron's buyout board.

People wanted other coaches

You guys didn't need to even give him a buy out or a salary comparable to coaches with proven success. He would have accepted payment in gumbo and jumbalaya, but nope, you gave him the farm.
