How bad does Clemson want to be in the SEC?

For several years now, it's not just a recent phenomenon post-NC.
They are jealous that lowly Gamecocks get all the highlights of being in the Big Boy conference after having left the ACC.
It's not enough that they get to beat USC most years.
It's not enough that they get to beat half the SEC teams they play OOC.
It's not enough that they got to win the National Championship against Bama on a last second illegal pick play.
They won't be satisfied until they get to play in the Big Boy conference and get all of the Big Boy perks that come along with it.
Right now, in the ACC, the only perks that come with winning the NC is that all of the Oconee and Pickens county mailboxes now have a tiger paw, very few of which translate into licensed revenue for the university.
There's probably a few more tiger paw mailboxes in the Charleston and Dorchester counties as well, almost as many tiger paws as buckeyes at this point.
The only way for that program to truly be satisfied is to be in the SEC.
They see shite teams like USC and Mizzou and they say "why the hell do we have to sit over here in the gimp conference, only 16 miles from the GA border, while those shite heels get to have all the attention and glory?"
I can't blame them. I'd be pissed too.

Ark to Big 12, WVU to ACC, Clemson to SEC. 3-way trade, everyone wins.

Well, they're 3-0 the last three times theyve played the SEC.
how is this a troll?

The more they want in, the less I want them in.

"IPTAY" is Clemson's slogan for "I give Ten a year" and was their way of saying even poor fans could contribute something to the football program.
They are scraping for ten dollar bills from trailer parks to fund their athletic program.
If they joined the SEC, they wouldn't need that IPTAY.
They'd get tens of millions from the SEC Network, in addition to the stacks of ten dollar bills they get now.
And they'd get some real rivalries... in addition to their annual USC rivalry, they'd get Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, alot more Auburn games, and some LSU more often, and Clemson could be one of the Big Boys sitting at the Big Boy table.
Clemson wants to be a Big Boy. So bad. I don't blame them.

Don't forget they added a few official road signs seen around the welcome centers and interstate offramps stating that Clemson won the national championship.

All of my Clemson friends hate being in the ACC.
They compare it to having to attend a Fall wedding. Free food and party... but crap. You just hate yourself for being there. Every stinking minute. Hate yourself.

We already have Clemson in the SEC. We just call them Auburn.

Yeah..sure they beat some SEC teams but majority of their wins have come against bad South Carolina teams and a couple of Auburn teams that didn't live up to the expectation. Since 2010...they are 1-1 against Bama (that respectable), 1-1 against UGA, 4-1 against Auburn ( ) which I will say that Auburn was not that good in majority of those games, and 3-4 against South Carolina which South Carolina has been horrible the last three years, and 1-0 against LSU - which was a game that had some piss poor coaching in the 4th quarter. Plus it seemed like that was the game where LSU started to decline. So they are 10-7 against the SEC since 2010. 12 of those 17 games has been against South Carolina and Auburn. To break it down further....out of the five games against Auburn, Auburn was only ranked in three of those games Clemson was 2-1. Out of the 7 games against South Carolina, South Carolina was only ranked in 4 of those games (Clemson was 0-4). Georgia was ranked both times (1-1), Bama was ranked both times (1-1), and LSU was ranked (1-0). So against ranked SEC teams, Clemson is 5-7 against SEC teams when they are ranked. Now I will say that if Clemson played in the SEC right now, then more likely they would win several games because majority of the SEC has turned into shite. Lord help Mizzou, Tennessee, and Arkansas if they played Clemson.

First off, this thread is dumb as shite even for a uga fan.
Secondly, I can't wait for uga to have its normal collapse down the stretch so y'all will slink away back to the jawja board.
Finally klimpsun fans are fricking retarded.

Clemson has no interest in being an sec team. If they did they would not have pussied out and left the ACC when they had the chance.

I'd be all for adding competition to the league. But who knew hiring circus sideshow head coaches would result in what we have right now.

I would love Clemson to be in the SEC.
Id also love to be in the same division to play them every year. shite, shuffle it all up. I really think MIZZOU needs to go anyway. Let Clemson in and put them in the West with USC as their permanent opponent, and let Aggie play or Arky play in the East.

I actually don't think they do.
They just like to troll us here because they've owned us and now have a another title.
They can't do that at Tigernet (no smack forum so Gamecocks get banned quickly) and they get banned at CT

I think the real roommate swap that needs to happen is:
Missouri to the B1G
Maryland back to the ACC
Virginia Tech to the SEC
This is actually the perfect scenario. 1) It gets rid of Missouri, who rode our coattails to the SEC, 2) It creates one more great end of year SEC/ACC matchup with VTs annual game with VA (assuming VA didn't go all "texas" on them and refuse to play), 3) Provides a valuable tv market to the league, and 4) VT is a much more natural fit in the SEC than Missouri, especially in the East.
I like Clemson, it's a good school. But Clemson IS the ACC. They've always been there and it is THEIR league in football. Or maybe it is theirs to share with FSU. Either way you slice it, they will never be in the SEC as long as USC is around. South Carolina is just too small of a state to have two members.
Clemson needs to just enjoy the ride and their turn to rule the roost before Saben retires and Swinney leaves.
