ESPN pushing narrative Sumlin will leave A&M

McElwain and Malzahn seem safe for now, and Sumlin might end up guiding the Aggies to nine or 10 victories after a terrible start. If Texas A&M finishes strong, Sumlin might look to leave on his own -- maybe to somewhere like Arizona State or UCLA. It wouldn't be a complete shock if McElwain searches for an escape route of his own.

May be the perfect scenario.

The wife needs to start writing more hate mail.

If all these coaches keep fleeing the SEC then Mark Stoops is gonna end up as the most tenured head coach in the league other than Saban. Still not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing.

If he leaves A&M, he gets ZERO buyout.

This would be too good to be true

If he does, A&M needs to be on the phone immediately with Kyle Whittingham's agent.

Whittingham gambled on Saturday and lost (2 point conversion)

Dude had balls, I respect that.
He's also recruited lights out for a utah program and pulled them out of nothing.

We could only be so lucky. Maybe that Oregon State job will call him home to the Northwest

No way in hell Corntooth moves to a landlocked state.

Can't happen unless Mullen departs MSU, too. He's in his 9th year.

I could see this happening, he will not be fired this year but will be on a very hot seat in 2018. He may just leave on his own terms.

His daughter goes to A&M, so idk if he will want to leave. But with all the hate he gets after every single loss by the fanbase, I wouldn't blame him for going to a job with less pressure.

Perfect scenario imho. It would mean he’s done well enough with this squad to get a new job, we don’t pay a buyout and we get a new coach. I’m down. Sign me the frick up.

Why on earth would UCLA hire him after his boneheaded decisions caused them to beat A&M?
