Whittingham gambled on Saturday and lost (2 point conversion)
USC was demolishing Utah's d line at the end of the game and USC would have scored with ease in overtime. Even though he didn't get it it was for sure the right call.

If all these coaches keep fleeing the SEC then Mark Stoops is gonna end up as the most tenured head coach in the league other than Saban. Still not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing.
It's a terrible thing, and the reason the SEC finds itself in the coaching position it's in. Everybody is saying frick the meat grinder. I'm going to be compared to Saban? frick that.
Everybody wants to win at a high level in this conference. Because of that, 8-4 is not as bad of a year as is perceived. It's still the most physically demanding league out there, in spite of its relative mediocrity right now.
Sumlin is not a bad coach. I don't get all the hate.

Pure click bait.
The last Head Coach to voluntarily leave Texas A&M was Bear Bryant.

He's also recruited lights out for a utah program and pulled them out of nothing.
Didn't he take over for Meyer after he went unbeaten in 2004?

A good coach doesn't lose 59-0.
A good coach doesn't let the locker room get so toxic that the 1st and 2nd string QBs leave at the end of the regular season.

He did.
He also went undefeated in 2008 and beat Bama in the sugar bowl. (This was when they were still in the MWC)
2008 Bama:
HC: Saban
OC: Jim McElwain
Co-DC: Kirby Smart
Co-DC: Kevin Steele

I think we may see alot of these coaches just start settling for G5 schools. You still make 7 figures and 8 wins keep you employed while 10 ever so often gets the fan base ecstatic. Less press and less money, but more peace of mind.
