For more context: Hurts was at 5.2 air yards per completion in 2016. Jake Coker was 6.2 air yards per completion in 2015.

That is an atrocious number. You cannot get away with a QB who is that inept at throwing the ball in this day and age. It'll come back to bite you eventually no matter how good the rest of the team is (2011 LSU, 2016 Bama, Ohio State the last few years with JT Barrett, etc...). Bama is never going to win a national championship with Hurts at QB if he continues to play this way.

Hurts can not be stopped... period. Just because he doesn't do it the way you want to see it doesn't mean he's not getting it done.. and if you haven't noticed we've been winning quite well with him.. I don't even know why i'm explaining it...
It's awesome that Saban is the coach. They don't play for you, get over yourself.

It's been three games. He has 36 completions. This is damn near meaningless at this point.
I do wonder how they measure this. Do swing passes and such count as negative yardage?

I have no idea why bama doesn't go with a pro style qb. Their team is made for that

Yeah you also have to realize his yards per attempt started off extremely low
Vs. FSU: 5.2 yards per attempt
Vs. Fresno: 7.1 yards per attempt
Vs. CSU: 14.1 yards per attempt.
Perhaps instead of freaking out about a meaningless stat three games in, why not evaluate it at 8 games and see if it rises. Hint: it will you dumb shite.
