I have a couple questions about science.....

If we evolved from apes or monkeys or whatever some claim, then how come monkeys and apes and gorillas are not still evolving? Why are they still a species? Huh?
And to those that believe we originated from a single cell or whatever(the Big Bang), have you ever seen a newborn? Please explain to me how a new born raised itself from a single cell to be a grown human.
I know some will claim to have answers, but to me, it's way crazier to believe in any of that crap, then believing in God.

Couple of hundred thousand years and you can get some evolution. Imagine if Tater fans had another 100,000 years to evolve.
They might evolve to stealing crabs and getting free shoes, but they would still be Taters and not SEC material.
God wanted us to know about THE Big Bang, that is why he created Albert Einstein but he had to give us enough time to evolve, to understand what he had done billions of years ago.
I mean he sent Jesus to us a few thousand years earlier and we were not evolved enough to not put him on a cross and jab him in the side with a spear.

I think you're in the minority, even among religious people.
Most accept that the idea of evolution and the existence of God are not mutually exclusive.
Most accept that the idea of evolution and the existence of God are not mutually exclusive.

all of this is why we can't have nice things.

This
Evolution was Gods method.

We didn't evolve from apes or monkeys. We, apes, monkeys, lemurs, chimps and all other primates evolved from a common ancestor and branched into our separate species.

See above.

I don't understand your use of a newborn here? What point are you trying to make?
And the Big Bang is the term used to indicate the origin of the Universe, not the beginning of life on earth. That's known as abiogenesis.

It's called Mitosis and Meiosis.

No one has to "believe in any of that crap." To believe is to accept without evidence. There is overwhelming evidence for "that crap." There is no evidence for God. That's why you have to believe He exists.

I could write a book and I have a scientific mind. It takes faith to believe in the theory of evolution. Also, you can't have a discussion like this here. This thread is doomed brother and atheists think they are smarter than you are so prepare for that as well.

I disagree. Atheists are no smarter than anyone else. It's just that their interests tend to be directed more to nature whereas theists are more interested in religion. Now if interest = intelligence, isn't it more appropriate to just say that atheists are more interested in nature than are theists?
People with different interests can always have civil discussions. The OP unfortunately set a rather combative tone by saying "that crap."

As is faith in God and the big bang theory.
God created everything. He repeatedly through prophets has stated that he created everything. The very fabric faith in evolution contradicts what God said about how he created everything.
Most of you science believers are going to stand before Jesus and claim to have believed in God very much like that stupid quote. Yet Jesus has already stated that believing in God is not good enough. A price must be paid for every single person's sins. You can pay it yourself or accept Jesus's payment.

Sure, comparing Jews turning Christian to humans evolving from apes is a compelling arguement lol

You are right kentucker. I was out of line and kind of combative with my statement and it is from being dismissed from the get go in the scientific community because I believe in an intelligent designer. Lots of folks with my beliefs in the community are sometimes afraid to speak out or ashamed to admit they aren't an atheist because of belittlement and discrimination.
I know the earth is around 3-5 billion years old and our planet is of little significance in relation to our location in the cosmos. I feel pretty comfortable in providing facts about several flaws in Darwinian theory though I don't have it in me to do it here because I suck at typing on a cell phone. Maybe one day.
I apologize for the remark. It was selfish and defensive. I also do not think any less of a Darwinian and or atheist and the brightest scientific minds on the planet are certainly members of that group.

Kentuker lol you seem to believe in everything but God. There is so much "evidence " supporting those ridiculous theories that you would start to assume it was a combo of all that scientific dump.
science is for people who refuse to believe they know nothing. And when you know that you know nothing is when you really start to learn.

My thoughts on the topic are:
1) There is plenty of observable evidence that the earth and the universe is much older than the Genesis account, a seeming contradiction. But not so in my opinion. According to Biblical account, when God created Adam and Eve, he created them in an "adult state." It certainly would make sense he did the same for the whole universe. If scientists today could observe Adam immediately after his creation, he would appear to be 20ish or 30ish years old by any test they would run. But he would only be minutes old. I believe it is the same with everything out there. It all appears older than it really is.
2) Evolution, as a random natural event, isn't statistically viable. Even if the earth were changed into a giant test tube containing only the required elements to make DNA, and all conditions were optimal, the odds of a single DNA molecule occurring through random chance are astronomical. Even considering the billions of years available and the number of possible planets.
But even if it were to happen, one DNA molecule isn't life. You need several DNA molecules, with equal numbers of left-handed and right handed versions, and all DNA for the same single cell photosynthetic organism (can't have a pine tree DNA and a giraffe DNA). DNA begins decomposition in about 6 minutes outside the confines of a living cell, even in optimal conditions. You need RNA (almost as complex as DNA), you need millions of other specific enzymes and other chemicals as well. All to occur in the same little spot within a 6 minute(ish) window. The odds for a full single cell photosynthetic organism coming together by random chance are honestly impossible.

Many who speak as though on the God "side" don't know what they are talking about. They have done no research or study of actual facts, and are only repeating what was told them by people they chose to listen to over the course of their lives. The same for many on the science "side."
If God made creation, then He made science. It (creation) should certainly bare His fingerprint for any to see who truly look at it.
