Two different incidents where I tore muscles:
1. Junior year in High School tore my Sternocleidomastoid (the muscle that runs from the back of your head and connects to your collar bone and sternum). Thought I had broken my neck. Hurt like hell and I couldn't lift my head.
2. Last Fall, tore my calf muscle. It felt like I had been hit in the leg with a sledgehammer.

I've had ACL surgery, kidney stones, and left ankle reconstruction. I just had back surgery 2 weeks ago. Waking up the next day was by far the most pain I have ever felt, so I feel ya on the back surgery.

Heart attack. Two days later my cardiologist said, "morphine is a wonderful drug, isn't it?"
He was right.
He was right.

I am 100% now after two back surgeries. Good luck with yours and watch the pain killers bro. Opiate addiction turns into a life long struggle.

Collapsed lung via a pneumothorax shat on the physical pain of kidney stones and the mental anguish of seeing blood exit from down there...

I had a surgery that involves ripping massive clunks of bone and resulted in nerve damage so bad that I can not longer feel the top of my right leg from the knee down to the top of my foot. They had to have a follow up surgery to kill the nerve since it was constant pain for about 3 months. If a woman ever had the balls to say to me you don't know the pain of childbirth, I just have to laugh.

Fell a few feet onto concrete, and first point of contact was my left knee. Obliterated a bunch of cartilage and moved the patella, but at 14 years old thought I'd walk off the pain. Made it home from school with a knee swollen 2 or 3 times normal and went to ER. Doctor told us they'd have to drain the fluid, and clarity of the fluid would tell them how bad the damage was. It appeared to be all blood. Making matters worse, he was basically stabbing me in the knee with a large bore hypodermic repeatedly because there was lots of fluid and he was in a hurry. He was just filling up dixie cups with what he got out.

Seriously, folks today have no idea how far we have come with painkillers in the last 50 years. Now they zap you with some knockout drug and you wake up in the recovery room and still doped with some happy juice so if you have pain, you can't feel it.

Kidney stones in 2009. $14,000 ER bill for a three hour stay to tell me I had kidney stones.
Second place is a broken nose/deviated septum when I was 14, got it playing sharks and minnows.

When I woke up from open heart surgery. Intense pain.
Close second, collapsed lung. When they put the tube in to re inflate the lung I passed out from the pain.
