Florida coach Jim McElwain hasn't settled on a starting quarterback. He hasn't even pared down the three-man competition.

McElwain said Wednesday that fourth-year junior Luke Del Rio, redshirt freshman Feleipe Franks and graduate transfer Malik Zaire will play this season, maybe even in next week's season opener against No. 11 Michigan.

"If you have two quarterbacks, you have none."

FL has three quarterbacks. Does that mean they have minus one?

1 -> 1
2 -> 0
3 -> -1

This only works if one of them can spin in place. -AU

Doubt it. Shark fricker doesn't have Boom's defensive players to bail him out this year.

It will be interesting to see what happens if they do not have an elite defense to bail out a terrible offense

Think it is largely gamesmanship because Michigan doesn't release its roster or depth chart. Don't believe there's much chance we see 3, if anything we see a 2nd because there will be some wildcat formation.

If they can't get more out of their QB than they have, then they'll need to be elite defensively(like top 5 nationally) to have a really good shot. That's unlikely imo.

They have good offensive skill but need one of these three to not suck.

Amateurs...

Auburn played five different players at quarterback, including H-back Chandler Cox and tailback Kerryon Johnson,

It was quite the show, but it was not enjoyable for Auburn fans, who started heading to the exits with 6:15 remaining. Then, Auburn bounced back with four straight trips to the red zone -- but could only manage one touchdown with 3:22 remaining. (Lost by 6).

It has to be Zaire. How many more chances does Del Rio need?

I've got an idea Florida that is unique: convert a DB that can run the RPO (the P part can even be sub-par) to almost perfection.

Nobody will see it coming. If you do, you will lose one regular season game and come up just :13 short of a Natty. Again, this is a novel idea.

Supposedly Zaire still hans't picked up the playbook, Franks is inaccurate and inconsistent and Del Rio can at least run the offense and not throw a bunch of picks.

We could seriously see Del Rio play it out against Michigan in game 1, lol wow.
