I say yes. For several years the have been "on the edge" of having a very good season - laid the wood on Loserville last year

I'm seeing 8 wins (maybe more if the ball bounces right) for the Wildcats and an SEC West sweep

Dark horse for East? Maybe a better bowl?

@MSU will be tough mainly because of Nick Fitzgerald. I see us going 1-1.

ETA: Forgot about Southern Miss.

The history of kentucky football is really bad, then an ok year with a good win to get everyone excited, then really bad again.

Kentucky Mississippi State is a great SEC Rivalry. Really fun games. It'll be a close game for sure. Kentucky will take care of Ole Miss.

Yes. People are selling them short. They have some very good players. 8 wins and falling just short of winning the East IMO.

Then after the season, Kirk Ferentz rides into the sunset and retires after Iowa wins the Big Ten West division and a NY6 Bowl.

Daddy Iowa calls Mark Stoops home.
Big Bro Bob, already getting ancy in retirement, returns home to Daddy Iowa to lend a hand to his bro Mark as an offensive analyst.
To top it off, Daddy Iowa calls home another one of its sons that is familiar to SEC fans. Recently fired for a 4-8 season at Arkansas, Marky Mark calls up his old pal from his days playing on the D at Iowa, to be his Defensive Coordinator, Big Bert Bielema.

Collectively, the Holy Hawkeye Trinity returns Iowa to the Hayden Fry Glory days of the Rose Bowl in the 80s

Kentucky is my pick to win or tie for the eastern division. and even if they go 1-2 with the schools from the 'Sipp, I will stand by my prediction.

Kidding, right?
Even if Kentucky is the best team in the East (they probably are), they will get their shite pushed in by Miss State. The disparity between the two divisions is staggering.

They'll beat Ole Miss though. Ole Miss is like a train wreck into a dumpster fire. And to make matters worse, all the gawkers took time out of their busy days to walk over and take a shite on their chests.

I don't see how they can slow down Fitz. He will have 4 rushing TDs at the very least.

I think Kentucky goes 2-1 against the state this year. Could go 3-0 with a solid game at MSU, but always tough to win on the road.

LOLno.

Kentucky is more likely to go 0-3 against Mississippi than 3-0.

I mean, I hope Kentucky can beat Southern Miss this year, but I'm not betting on it.

Sylvester Stoops had his 4th year fluke bowl last year, and will regress to the mean and be fired before December.

They beat State 1 out of the last six years with a miracle field goal. They are our homecoming and we will treat them like it

@ USM -W. Southern Miss lost Nick Mullins to graduation. This one could get ugly.

@ MSU -L. This is a close call, but the game being in Starkville is the difference.

Ole Miss -W. This game could have bucket loads of td's scored. Lexington is an advantage with an OM team that simply won't have near as much to play for.

People forget that UK blew a 35-10 lead at HOME to USM last year.
State-UK have had some really exciting games over the years. UK is capable of winning at Starkvegas but I think you have to give State the edge at home.
UK should beat OM at home but here again nothing in the SEC is a given.

So I can see 2-1 (50%) 1-2. (25%) Doubtful that it is 3-0 (15%) but probably a less than a 10% chance of being 0-3.

USM at the Rock is going to be a tough game. Don't sell the Golden Eagles short. Especially after last year. They will play over their heads with an SEC team coming to town.
Wildcats should win but........
