Florida 2010 will go down as the worst away game experience I have ever had. Frick those jean short wearin losers.
I went to TCU for undergrad, and going to Lubbock for a Tech game is a very, very close second for me. The game started at 11 AM in September, so it was hotter than any LSU home game that I have been to, outside of the App St. Gustav game...plus, Tech still has astroturf for their field surface, making the heat even more miserable.

Wisconsin last year. Not only did I spend all that money to watch Les practically give Wisconsin the game, but some drunk fan stepped on my foot and broke two of my toes on the way out of the stadium. It was a terrible day.
Now thats funny

UF in 2006. Those damn blocked FG's.
Had a great time, but the way we lost sucked.

1995 trip to Lubbock for A&M vs. Texas Tech.
The head referee negated an A&M fumble recovery deep in Tech territory on a sack, and then called back a kick-block return for a TD claiming forward lateral. Game was tied at 7 in the last 2 minutes when A&M QB threw an pick six. Then some tard came up from behind and punched me. Couldn't wait to get out of that shithole.
That's the worst screwjob against A&M I've ever seen, and the missed fumble recovery is up there with the worst calls ever made/reversed. It literally ruined A&M's season, even after choking away the game in Boulder.

UF 1982. Back then they put the visitors in the lower section of the Swamp and made them sit on 2X4s. You were not allowed to stand during the game, and if you did an usher would come over and make you sit down. AU lost on an on-side-kick by UF that they supposedly recovered.

The "worst" experience I've ever had at an away game was also the best, at Alabama. To clarify, it's (sadly) the only SEC football road game I've ever been to. I started following football in the mid-90s when I started playing rec league (pee-wee) football, and my best friend's father had played at UT in the early 70s. They schooled me in being a Vols fan, and I still have great memories of watching games in their den with the TV on mute listening to the legend, John Ward, call the games on the radio.
Fast forward a few years to the early 2000s, and another guy I grew up and played high school ball with was a big time basketball recruit. He took a visit to Bama for the Mississippi State game, and brought me and our high school coach, a life long Bama fan, as his guests. While I had already learned to hate Bama, I also was grateful/humbled to be invited on the trip, and wasn't going to be an embarrassment no matter what. It didn't hurt that since I had become a Vols fan UT had dominanted Bama for the most part. It was a great experience, as we got to go on the field before the game and meet some of the players and coaches. I remember being very impressed by the size of the crowd and how loud they were, given the fact that Bama was in a bit of down period at that time.
Given the circumstances of that trip, I really don't expect to have a better road trip to another SEC stadium, which I hope to start working on this fall. That said, if I'm being completely honest with myself, I also know that part of the reason for that will be that, while I won't be an a-hole and will sincerely try to be respectful while rooting on the Vols, I probably won't ever be a more gracious visitor than I will that day. I hope to see some of you schmucks in your home stadiums starting this fall.
Edit: "was" not "will" in the next to last sentence of my post.

2008 AU @ WV (Morgantown)
I have done a lot of away games and a lot of non SEC away games. Nothing can compare to the trashiness of Morgantown. I have said it 100 times. I dont care of Auburn plays in the Super Bowl and I get free box seats, I will never, EVER, go back to Morgantown.
When I drive up to Lake Erie in the spring, I go out of my way to miss that shithole
My only bad SEC games have been in Athens. Never had any problems in Baton Rouge, Gainesville, Tuscaloosa or the others. Still have not been to Kentucky and Fayetteville. The other SEC Stadiums have been great..
Oh yea, didnt count Columbia MO or College Station.

I once had a guy threaten to murder my family and burn me alive. Gotta love LSU folk.

Same thing happened when I went to the game at College Station last year.

Never had a bad experience at any SEC away games. Games in little havana and tallycrappy are a different story. Both cities and venues (back when the filthy animals played in the old orange bowl) suck and their fans are even worse.

My brother was an athletic trainer at the time for state. I was sitting in the state section wearing my high school almamater maroon shirt due to the tix being free MSU faculty tix and I smirked when it happened. Chris Relfs parents were right next to us and I felt bad for them.

Knoxville. Don't remember the year, but Jamrcus Russell threw the last second TD for the win. Friday night before the game we got kicked and drinks thrown at us at the bars (no we weren't acting retarded or obnoxious). Day of the game we hung out at Calhouns with no issues, until we walked around to take in the sights. Again drinks were thrown at us, not one tailgate was hospitable. Stadium experience was ok, but they have Rocky Top on repeat for the whole damn game. After the game we got cussed at and some tried to pick fights with us. I have been to almost every away venue and haven't had anywhere near the issues that I had in Knoxville. I'll never go back.

What's Yours?

I stopped believing when they started playing the Titanic theme song at halftime, and a Bama fan stated that it was their alma-mater.
