Pure BS
Ridiculous - keep the PC crap out of sports - If the game is cancelled, Bama should sue CA for damages.

South Dakota? That is just mean.

So what happens if they get a bcs/playoff game in Texas or something?

It seems pretty clear in the article that since the contract for the game was signed before January 1, 2017, that the game won't be in jeopardy. Pretty terrible headline from AL.com. I suppose they just wanted to get as many clicks as possible, even though the game most certainly is not in doubt.

Claire Dean, a spokesperson for the University of California system, said if a university's athletic team committed to participate in an event before Jan. 1, 2017, "then it's permissible to use state funds. However, if a contract was entered on or after that, then state funds cannot be used for travel."
Sounds like Bama Fresno State game is not in doubt. Will play.

If they back out they'll have to pay us. Contract was signed before this other CA BS agenda popped up.

Reverse discrimination at it's best. Liberals are so funny.

California will cave.

Can we ban liberal trash from California from moving to Texas as well?

Money talks. I agree. Whichever network that was gonna air the game should sue as well along with a class action suit by season ticket holders and the Alabama athletic department. Communists

California needs to be carved up into 4-5 smaller states so they can get the frick over themselves and don't think they can run the country.

The dark lord is trying to flip you guys to blue. He's done it to other states. Jawja is another target of his.

Pretty soon nobody will be traveling anywhere or if they do it will be a circuitous route.
You know Jackson to LA via Omaha like the ole song said.
Also the tables can turn here. Folks can just quit going to California or New Orleans (that is already happening).
Completely ridiculous is my thoughts about this.
Hey wait. If Fresno cancels on Bama, then UAT could schedule UAB.
Well, Naw, that ain't happening.

People from California banning themselves from coming to your state is actually a good thing. Glad Kentucky is on the list.

Hope the game is played though and I hope Bama runs up the score on them.

Alabama is paying them 1.4 million to play the game and a state college from a state (California) that's 90% into bankruptcy is going to cancel the game because of something like this?

Sell the lower half to Mexico, use the proceeds to wall off the top half.
