I'd take the LSU / Auburn rivalry.

It's a tall task but I'll do this for the glory of ol Georgia. I pray Mrs. Durden will understand

Well, Kentucky can. I have no idea what Mizzou would be able to contribute to that conversation.

LSU - Auburn (LSU fans happy to get rid of Florida)

Not me. I just don't think permanent cross-divisional rivalries are a good thing. If we must have them, Florida is fine with me as ours, and certainly preferable to Auburn. If Alabama is tired of UT's worn out hole, let 'em have Georgia and A&M can have Auburn.

Florida is not a big deal. Hasn't been since 2008. They're just a trashy program with fans to match. Would rather do away with the sewage

Assuming Pat Dye gets his way in all aspects, the Iron Bowl would be out.

Therefore I'd propose the following:

Bama - Florida (Tennessee just isn't cutting it anymore)
LSU - Auburn (LSU fans happy to get rid of Florida)
Arkansas - Tennessee (best of the remaining, natural border rival)

You're ending the IB & TSIO?

The only possibility of this happening within the next 20 years would be for the conference to go to a 7 (rotating)-2(yearly non-divisional) for a total 9 SEC games schedule. Auburn can swap with Mizzou and the rivalries won't be lost.

Auburn and Alabama will both have to make a concession that neither will accept. This will never happen and if the Iron Bowl were by some miracle played on a rotational basis and Auburn won then every Oak tree in the state would burn.

I'm not sure where the unacceptable concession would be. A 7-2 (annual cross divisional) for a 9 game SEC season would do the trick, and I know Saban would do it because he wants a 9 SEC game season.

I can't imagine UT sacrificing a home game against Alabama for a neutral site game at the Liberty Bowl against Ole Miss

I'd be in favor of 9 conference games with two permanent cross division opponents and then rotate the others every year. There would be classes that never played a specific team from the other side, but the that happens already and the trade off (keeping long-standing games like Bama/AU, AU/LSU, etc) would be worth it.

Bama - AU/TN
LSU - AU/UF
OM - Vandy/UGA
MSU - Vandy/UK
Mizz - USCe/UGA
A&M - UK/UF
Arky - USCe/TN

Good idea...why didn't I think of that? You'd play the other teams every 5 years.

I like this. Not a horrible drive and CoMo is a nice college town.

1) LSU/Auburn. De rigueur.
2) Kentucky/Arkansas
3) South Carolina/Ole Miss
4) Bama/Florida
5) Miss. St./Vandy
6) Missouri/Tennessee
7) Texas A&M/Georgia

Why is this board so obsessed with moving Auburn to the east? I may be in the minority but what is wrong with the way it is now? 3 of the Big 6 in each division seems like a good split to me.

Love for a Mississippi school to be South Carolina's permanent opponent.

We don't have much, but at least have some history with Mississippi State. Almost nothing with Ole Miss.

Rather play State for that reason. But save us from that A&M commute. That looks good for Georgia or Tennessee, not us.
