The Tigers were coming to Gainesville as the most anticipated game day of the year was upon us. The smack talk was good and we were expecting another classic SEC game. Then came Hurricane Matthew with a turn for the worst. After much doubt that it was going to affect us. The hurricane took a rigid turn along the Florida coast and it appeared it was headed straight for Gainesville with the possibility of being a category 4. Panic spread in North Central Florida as those on the coast were told to evacuate and concerts and events were cancelled in Gainesville. Jeremy Foley made the tough decision of canceling the game due to safety concerns with such an unpredictable event upon us. The hurricane thankfully missed Gainesville, although our friends on the east coast got the worst of it. With the aftermath, we realized something had to be done about the football game. While knocking out two home games was a tough pill to swallow, we realized it was our only option as we made the short notice trek to Louisiana for an awesome game day experience.

LSU on the other hand took this classlessly. They mocked us saying we were scared. (Scared of a team that fired their coach mid season? Hahaha) They called us out for not predicting the future and not knowing that a cat4 hurricane wasn't going to hit us. Louisiana has 'toughed out' hurricanes in the past and look what happened.... So we did the classy thing and went into Death Valley and curb stomped the Tigers in their own backyard while missing over half of our starting defense and with a backup QB. Instead of admitting defeat like a proud university, the excuses came pouring in. Last year was suppose to be the Tigers year. LSU fans are as good at predicting their record as the US media is at predicting elections. Instead, as I was walking out of Tiger Stadium LSU fans were thanking me because according to them Coach O was no longer in the running for HC. Tom Herman's name was being thrown around like LSU was his dream job. Look how that turned out.

How LSU acted last year was a complete embarrassment for your university and state. To act like the year wasn't a complete disaster is delusional. A hopeful undefeated season turned into firing of your coach just to hire his dLine coach. Your fan base is still making excuses that it was "just a couple of plays inside the 10." Admit defeat and move on. Look forward to seeing you in the Swamp this year and next.

Edit: typos, etc

this has already been discussed...when other games were played in the state of Florida that weekend every reason Florida gave for not playing became just an excuse because LSU was coming into Florida on a roll and Florida was plagued with injuries... congrats on getting the media on your side on this one...

Again.. every other UF sporting team made arrangements to play elsewhere or on a diff day before the storm. Football couldn't?
