Tee Martin to Peerless Price in the 1998 SEC Championship Game. State played well enough to shock the world that night in the Georgia Dome.
I read this as Tee Martin to Peerless Price in the 1998 Championship game and then got confused when you said it was in the Georgia Dome -- had to do a double take, even the State part didn't give it away. Tee to Peerless was a knockout play in both the SECCG and the BCS Championship game.

Nichols missing 2 FGs against LSU in 03 is number 1.
4th and 25 is number 2.
Both kept the Rebs out of ATL.

I never cry - but I wept that day.

To be fair, even if ole miss did win that game and won in Atlanta, they probably still would have gotten only a sugar bowl bid since they lost to Memphis, so it's not that bad.

Probably Trey Williams not housing a 95 yd kick return vs LSU in 2012.

In 2003, yeah.
But in 2015 I think they had a real shot of making the playoff even with 2 losses. With that resume and a redemption win against UF in ATL they would have had a strong case.

That was incredible in light of the fact that LSU dominated the 2nd half of that game, and prior to that drive Bama had only 2 first downs in the half
Not that incredible. Instead of going with what had worked the whole second half, Chavis and Miles thought it would be a good idea to rush three and drop eight into coverage, hoping the clock would stop them. With no pass rush, McCarron found recievers on a few plays in a row using almost no time off the clock, quickly moving Alabama to the outskirts of FG range (we led by 3). Then, we decided to blitz everybody trying to hold them to a long FG attempt or hopefully push them out of FG range, and that's when they took advantage and burned us with a well-executed screen for the TD.
I knew after the first play of that drive that we weren't going to stop them. From that point on, it was just a matter of whether we held them to a FG and went to OT or gave up the TD. Should have known Chief would find a way to the latter.

Kinda weird that in both of Ole Miss' best chances to get to the SECCG, 2003 and 2015, they lost to Memphis in non-conference play.

Tpos Tennessee taking out and ruining Lattimore career is most heartbreaking Gamecock moment ever

Auburn bustin up our shot at a 3-peat, then LOSING to Jimbaw and losing the SEC title streak was the most heartbreaking shite ever. Typical Augrun

Lattimore injury, the entire Shawn Elliott era at the end of the year in 2015 was one close gut wrenching loss after another

I actually think Notre Dame takes it in a defensive struggle. Last second field goal tk win
