This year, after the first losing season under Hugh Freeze, a lacking recruiting class, NCAA issues hovering over the program, and looking at a postseason ban, Ole Miss fans seem to have lost all interest. The Rebels only drew 8,000 people to the stadium Saturday.

Quit beating a dead horse. They are down. No need to kick them anymore.

How did that compare to State's spring game? Same state, same size fan base, same size stadium, same weekend. But no cloud of NCAA hanging over them.

Genuinely curious.

Isn't that about that they draw for home games?

Official numbers I heard were:

Paid attendance - 5,520
Actual attendance - 4,250

I usually only sign on tRant to flame rebels, but I'm giving them a hardy congrats on this situation.

Ignoring the ridiculous "spring game" is a positive that I wish more fanbases would adopt

For all of these threads, I'm going to say the same thing: did you really expect anything different?

So with only 8,000 in attendance, I am guessing that The Grove was only half full of red pants, white shirts, red bow ties wearing Black Bears? Of course, to be fair, those numbers have to include 4,000+ of those young coeds in their see through hopefully sun dresses.

You mean Ole Miss fans aren't so insanely addicted to their college football team that they don't put 50k in the stands for a practice?

Seems normal to me.

I bet you don't wear anything but dark pink and white. Don't worry though. You aren't alone. There's a lot of you crazies out there in AL.

It's a glorified scrimmage. No one cares if 8000 show up
