Tejas is NEVER coming to the SEC.

They loathe schools who load up on the dumbest of the dumb athletes.(see Nebraska). And they put a stop to Nebraskas prop 48 and grey shirt shite.

Tejas goes to Pac12, or at worst to b1g.

Texas is a cancer on any conference. shite look at A&M. Every reason in the world to succeed but their epic inferiority complex from being cucked by Texas so long makes it impossible for them to get out of their own damn way. Imagine a much wealthier and arrogant version of Aggie except with chicks.

he SEC moves to 16 it will be NC State and either Va or Va Tech.

i don't think any of those would leave ACC. i know their alumni and fanbase wouldn't support it.

looks like there are 17 divison 1 colleges with equestrian teams. kind of seems silly to tout a title in it. odds are if you are one of 17 programs you will win some titles eventually.

Texas isn't even good at sport anymore..
they spend money and get crappy results -- and have pretty craptastic fans (I say that as an Austin resident).

To quote CGS:
quote:

It goes a bit more than that. Since the launch of the Longhorn Network in August of 2011: Football 33-30 3 losing seasons (consecutive) 0 conference titles 0 national titles Fired coach with most wins in program history

Add a loss to Kansas (in football) to that as well.

They are well on their way to irrelevant as most of their fan base isn't that loyal. Hell, there's a TCU sign coming in to downtown Austin in IH-35.

Cancer being subjective as something you cannot defeat

That is not true though as my mother survived breast cancer but I guess UT must be more like pancreatic cancer for A&M, Arkansas and Nebraska

Swimming? really?

When was your last bowl appearance and win?
How many hundreds of millions did it take you to do that?

Hell, you just hired a coach that hasn't won a championship and got boat-raced by a service academy (Navy) this past season.

He also quit on his team (just watch the games, don't take my word for it)

THIS exact quote from the Longhorn Network Vice President is why people had a problem with it:

quote:

During a radio interview earlier this summer on ESPN’s Austin affiliate KZNX-FM, Dave Brown talked all about the Longhorn Network. The ESPN programming vice president who is in charge of the new burnt-orange offshoot addressed the issue of broadcasting high school games. “Certainly, we’re going to follow the great players in the state,” Brown said. “Obviously, a kid like Johnathan Gray from Aledo, I know people are going to want to see Johnathan Gray. I can’t wait to see Johnathan Gray.” The five-star running back committed to the Longhorns in April. “Feedback we got from our audience is they just want to see Johnathan Gray run whether it’s 45-0 or not,” Brown said. “They want to see more Johnathan Gray. So we’re going to do our best to accommodate them and follow the kids that are being recruited by a lot of Division I schools, certainly some of the kids Texas has recruited, is recruiting and everyone else in the Big 12 is recruiting.”

He then went on to say that they would broadcast games out of state with Longhorn recruits, such as Connor Brewer, who, at the time, was out of Arizona and committed to them.

The quote is from July of 2011 and is a BLATANT recruiting violation.

Doesn't matter, because it isn't happening. The Oklahoma legislature won't allow OU and OSU to be in different conferences.

No, it isn't happening but this will not be the reason.

As a person who spends time in Oklahoma and listens to them talk sports and knowing a booster or two(three) from each school, the worry for Oklahoma State IS what will they do if OU does leave the Big 12.

OU wants to join the Big 10 because they believe their academics are better than what they actually are. To them(their president)the SEC is beneath them. The fans, they would love to join the SEC. Not their administration. All the while, Oklahoma State will likely be left and figuring out a home on their own.

If the Big 12 were to fold, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, likely Baylor now with what all has been happening there...those schools would likely have to form their own conference...stay as the Big 12...or join a lesser conference more than likely.

Your little brother status to the Cocks grows by the day. In the state of South Carolina 3 schools compete (probably due to Aiken being in the state)

College of Charleston
Clemson
South Carolina

South Carolina has 6 titles and neither College of Charleston nor Clemson has one yet.

Of the 39 titles awarded so far (West Texas A&M has 1)

(0) ACC has NONE and Taters have a team

(0) B1G has NONE

(14) B12 has several
(8) Texas A&M (when they were still B12)
(4) Oklahoma State
(1) Baylor
(1) TCU

(24) SEC has most
(11) Georgia
(7) Auburn
(6) South Carolina

(0) PAC has NONE

B1G has ice hockey, PAC has water polo, and the south has equestrian. What is interesting is Taters are about an hour from Aiken (about the same distance as UGA to Aiken) yet UGA has 11 titles and Taters have 0. I guess the Taters are more interested in men riding sheep than women riding horses. yet here you are downgrading a sport just because the Taters can't seem to win it.

Sooners also have the most SEC like sports profile

2 CWS, last in 1994
3 WCWS, last in 2016
2 gymnastics Nattys, last in 2016
1 Golf Natty in 1989
5 M Final Fours, last in 2016
3 W Final Fours, last in 2010

They would also give Missouri a pal in wrestling in the SEC

Kansas and Iowa State would be welcome in the Big Ten. Both are AAU schools.

Sooners have an issue in that where they go may affect what happens to OK State.

Sooners in the B1G or PAC without OK State and the Pokes wind in the SEC (say with Kansas) and suddenly the Sooners are Clemson and Pokes are South Carolina. In a generation Sooners will have withered and Pokes will have grown. SEC likes to make lemonade with the schools others consider lemons.
