Brandon Williams committed to Arizona. Looks like this board's favorite player will not get to start next year.

Good lord you are insufferable.

If I were you, I'd get tired of all of the idiots around here and just stop posting. You are too good for this board and you should take your talents to BOL. They would appreciate your great insight and superior knowledge of everything.

Is nobody else worried the least bit about Crean and UGA getting to Watford?
Posted on 5/7/18 at 3:23 pm to ArabianKnight
Nope. Especially with Watford cutting his list soon. We've been on Watford since the day Avery was hired...pett helped him identify guys the minute Avery decided to keep him on staff. I've said it before, relationships matter more these days than the name on the jersey.

I think there’s an outside shot UGA could end up being a threat to sign Watford, but as of now they’re not. I seriously doubt they have much of a chance

Are they even recruiting him hard? They aren't listed on his 247 page.

It is honestly impressive the irrational, extreme hatred he has for a bench player and a mediocre coach, both who are years removed from Alabama.

I don't "hate" Coleman. I just don't understand how a guy who was pretty bad most of his time on the court has so many fanboys on here. As soon as people stop salivating over a 5"9 guard who can't play defense and shoots 30% from the field, I'll stop mocking them for it.

I don't think anyone has suggested he was more than just a backup/ bench player, so not sure who these fan boys are

If no one thought he was more than a bench/backup PG, not sure who is salivating

He shot 52.1% eFG last season, 81.5% FT Before you make a "easier competition" argument Against Final 4 LoyolaChi, Clemson, LSU, Arkansas he shot ~51% eFG
He also had conference leading assist rate + Asst:TO ratio, rarely fouls and respectable steal%

You are the only one worthy of being mocked on this subject

I'll bet money you will say something stupid like I love Coleman. I would not want Coleman starting for my team.
That said, he would be a solid backup PG for ~10mpg as an experienced SR. You could do a hell of a lot worse

Maybe not you, Gene. But, I've heard some in our fanbase claim that running off Coleman was the worst thing that CAJ has done here, or that He's much better than Jr., or that we would have won several more games this season if he was on the roster. All of which are ridiculous. Recognizing a player's limitations is not the same thing as hatred.

It was at best a questionable move given the lack of need to do it
2017- Depth problems: Bama only had 2 PGs in Jr + Ingram who was on double duty elsewhere. If an injury happened to either, Bama would have been Fd hard.
Also, Ingram would be better used alongside AveryJr as 2nd ball handler not as a PG substitute
2018- See below, but he could have given an acceptable ~10min + some injury depth at worst
quote:
or that He's much better than Jr.,
Keep in mind we are comparing bench players here but Coleman is a better PG than Jr.
Shooting: slight edge Coleman, Avery is near Coleman Bama shooting levels whike Coleman was a great shooter last season even vs top competition
PG Skills (Handling/assists): Clearly Coleman was #11 natl in assist rate, was #17 SEC as SO
Defense/Rebounding: Push, neither player is great at either
I'll admit, people get stupidly hung up on a role player forced out.
I'd point out you are doing the same if not worse on the opposite side of the spectrum

Arguing who’d be better if Coleman had stayed is kind of a moot point since he’d be out of eligibility by now anyway. Right?

First of all, if we're salivating over Coleman, you're salivating over a 5'10 PG,who we more often play at SG because his handles are so poor he has to dribble the ball up the court arse backwards. Secondly, the only one that keeps bringing up Coleman (or Grant for that matter) is you and you alone. Everyone wants the topic to die and you refuse to let it.

Besides, you're the one bringing him up. Most others have seemed to move on. Give it a rest.
