Supposedly he was a silent to us and has given them a silent as well.

He’s already been working on his signing day video, maybe he’s just building suspense?

Hamm just reported that he held off on giving Texas a silent, but they lead.

Not sure why it matters who anyone gives a silent to,when the public commitments are so flimsy lol. Just call it a leader until they sign, commit is the wrong word.

It appears that Coburn and O'Neal like the DC hire.

I kept reading on Notre Dame forums that they thought he is their best recruiter in 20 years.

Be patient. He always was announcing on nsd. Fisher, elko, and Brewster will get a month to lock him in. He’s dealt with a lot of uncertainty on the A&M front, and had standing relationships with the texas staff.

I imagine as soon as he’s comfortable with the new staff he will be back on board.

Welp... looks like we are about to lose White to OU, Perroni put in a pick for him to flip, really hope Jimbo has a plan at LB because we are about to have 0 committed and not one offer out for any LB we stand a chance with.

I don't know if Fisher is thinking a lot about other options at LB, but I suspect Elko (and whoever our new LB coach will be) might have his eye on a few prospects at that position. Fisher is probably thinking more about what he wants to do at the QB position.

The more I learn about Elko, the more confidence I have in him. There will be new players emerge before signing day that we currently do not know about. I get the feeling that Fisher is giving Elko a lot of autonomy on defense. If so, he'd probably defer to Elko in who else we might target at LB.

I think it is chickenshit for a recruit to play that game. Either you are committing, or you aren't. And if you commit then you need to shut down your recruiting. Any less should be an indication for us to look elsewhere.

And waiting until NSD is selfish. That kid knows where he is going. He's being a little bitch, and will always be a little bitch if he plays that game.

fricking commit or don't.

I don't fault a kid for grabbing an offer where he can and committing. If they don't, the spot might not be there when they're ready. They have until NSD to truly decide if that's their choice. There's a lot that favors the school in all of this, so I'm not getting mad at some kid who wants a couple free trips and a lot of attention. Just my opinion.

Please respect my decision. No interviews please.

I knew I came back too soon to the recruiting board. Pretty depressing so far.
