Outside of worrying he'd just be here for a year, I don't know how anyone in their right mind can say this.
for those of us that remember lsu and auburn beating his vaunted offense, its easy to say we dont want him

Well to be fair both of those teams (2010 Auburn and 2011 LSU) beat Alabama in those seasons as well.
Imagine if he had the athletes we do instead of low 4-stars and 3-stars.

LSU and Auburn beat Oregon in the trenches first and foremost, don't forget that. Eliminate that mismatch and suddenly it's a very different matchup.
I want Gilbert. He checks all the boxes.

I'm about to protest until we get Gilbert. I'm feeling pretty wild and spunky so I might even knock a garbage can over.

Dude was doing that with a bunch of 3 star talent

I think defenses have made strides in catching up to that style of offense. I'm not saying it can't be good, but I don't think it's going to look the same today against SEC defenses.

Me likey too. Briles tree. Multiple, flexible -- mixes zone read, downhill, wildcat, jets, screens, rpos, air raid, etc. Adapts to and utilizes talent & playmakers well; some Lincoln Riley style stuff too. Texas recruiting ties. I think he's my #1 choice.

Yes because we definitely haven't had any issues with Ole Miss's offense lately

Who was the Western Kentucky offensive coordinator last season?

Just found an article regarding Enos' contract. His base salary is $750K with a $350K buyout.
We could cover that with ease.
We could but, being unfamiliar with the non-compete clause, I'm not sure we could hire him. I was thinking the non-compete clause was similar to schools keeping players from transferring to certain schools (usually rivals or teams on the upcoming schedule). I'm assuming the buyout would only be for a school that's not on the non-compete list...

Jeff Brohm called his own plays at WKU, now at Purdue.
His brother Brian was Co-OC, but he was hired by his brother again...

I could get behind Jeff Scott. He's a beast recruiter.

Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole reports Chip Kelly has “no interest” in the Alabama offensive coordinator job and that he wants to remain in the NFL.

He's the only one reporting this and it's been out there for hours. Not sure what to believe.

The Alabama offensive coordinator position has been a hot topic the last few months. The common theme: its vacancy.
Nick Saban will be tasked with finding a new play caller for the upcoming 2017 season after Steve Sarkisian bolted for the NFL following his one-game tenure on the job.
Multiple names have surfaced as potential candidates, including former Oregon and NFL head coach Chip Kelly.
While Jason Cole of Bleacher Report says Kelly has “no interest in the Alabama job,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter said, according to BusinessInsider.com, “There at least have been some conversations that have gone on over the last 24-48 hours between those two individuals (Saban and Kelly)."
One former Ducks offensive lineman, Geoff Schwartz, thinks Kelly to Alabama is perfect.
“For those who don’t know, or don’t remember, (former Oregon quarterback) Darron Thomas didn’t even whiff the NFL, he barely whiffed the CFL, and he was in the national championship game for Oregon,” Schwartz said on Outkick the Coverage with Clay Travis on Wednesday morning. “He’s the most proficient quarterback in Oregon history. He’s more proficient than Mariota. I believe (he has) the most wins in Oregon history still. If he can take Darren Thomas and make him that good, what can he do with Jalen Hurts? Or even this kid from Hawaii who just committed, the lefty that’s supposed be the next Mariota. He’d be a perfect fit there.”

The one that understands and runs Erhardt-Perkins is my hope. It is still the best offense for defense based football.

Here is an old article written during playoffs about Penn St OC. Writer said Bama would be only job he would leave for.

Starting to think it's going to be Napier. Cecil Hurt just retweeted these 2 things:
