I agree. More than one assistant leaves every year.

Hardly dumazz. We're over that. It does feel good to enjoy your team bending over and taking it for once though. That last drive was a thing of beauty.
Plus, an undefeated season wasted....just like us in '11.

I actually thought Bama fans handled it well this year.

All 12 of them that were at the airport to welcome the team back from a tough loss?

People just love to hate traditional winners. The Cowboys haven't won shite in 25 years and people still hate the shite out of them and it's not just because of their fans.

These LSU clowns actually realize that they're in for a long, hard way-to-go. It's obvious that Saban's not going anywhere, the Alabama coaching staff will consist of the best, most sought after coaches and recruiters regardless of who, or how many move on to better positions at other schools, Alabama's tradition and prestige are increasing with each successful year, and finally at age 65 (I'm 69 and know what I'm talking about), his life is on a very comfortable "cruise control" mode where nobody tells him shite, everybody answers to him, AND most importantly, everybody knows what he expects from them and are committed to satisfy him.....Take it from a guy who sold his business and retired to a very comfortable life.....it don't get no better than that!

after 10 years of the Bear, he went 6-5 two years in a row, and we all know how he fell completely apart and was sent into retirement disgraced and never to coach a significant game again. OH WAIT!!! only LS U Sux guys would wish to have Saban be sent away... at least then they might feel able to win (wouldnt but would feel like they have a chance) If anyone would understand their coach... they may worry..but, we are all waiting for a repeat of his Ole missy run... git lil' tigres

Since it's January 18 and football season has been over for over a week, we don't care about Saban or "the process" until next September...

If this is directed at me, then I can tell you this. I couldn't give a crap if not another college football game was ever played again, ever. Gawd, people are so obsessed over something so boring to watch..

just a reality of life at the top....ESPN will soon be looking for another team to pump in their headlines

They are already moving toward tOSU, Mich, Clemson, and FSU. There are too much ratings to be had in the Big10 and ACC regions to ignore them. These teams have earned this spot (at least Clemson has) and ESPN will parade them up against the SEC fiercely in the coming years.

He's had a great run, probably the best in history, probably never be matched in the future

Uh...he didn't even win his own division to win 1 "MNC" and he went undefeated how many times?

How many?????

Ever hear of Bud Wilkinson...?

1947 to 1963, compiling a record of 145–29–4.

47 straight games unbeaten.

Hell Saban didn't even tie Miami or USC's records of unbeaten games, let alone Oklahoma!

Point is...he won some Nattys with the media's help. Putting him in the game.

He was never so dominant going undefeated every year that you had to put him in the game. He had some politics and help...I'm sure Okie State would have liked help or USC in 2008. It's nice for ESPN to give you a college gameday platform to politic like Saban seemed to do every year before BCS selection Sunday.
