After retiring from Cincinnati this year???
Pretty good resume.
He would do well with teams like Tennessee, Kentucky and South Carolina.
He won 5 SEC West Championships in his 10 years on the Plains and had an undefeated season with Muschamp (as D.C.), Cadillac, Campbell, and Brown.
Auburn also finished in second place twice out of those 10 years and played in some epic bowls.
7 extremely successful years out of ten isn't really that bad.
Now we have Tennessee, Georgia and LSU fans complaining day after day. You guys really need to appreciate what you had, instead of wishing for better things.

CWM was not the DC when Tubbs should have won the national title.

I thought you people didn't like Tubby. You sure treated him like shite. I would have thought that any Auburn coach that beat Bama 6 times in a row would be a hero. Wish you could have back?

It's looking more and more that auburn was right in firing him.
3 years at Texas tech
4 years at Cincinnati

Him ending up back in Oxford would be pure comic gold.
Have never heard a SEC coaches wife rip the home city like she did Oxford.

Tommy Tuberville probably benefited more from Alabama's probation than anyone else.

I always liked Tubby. He only quit on Auburn after they tried stabbing him in the back.

And how did his departures from Ole Miss and Texas Tech go? He wasn't exactly "carried out in a pine box."

I did too, and didn't he actually have back surgery around that time?

IKR? "Retiring" is one way to put it. Way the hell off from what really happened but let's humor this guy!!

To think that Alabama Poly was trying to get rid of a huge POS to hire the king of POS coaches has to bring a smile to your face.

Enjoy Saban while you can. Your next HC will most likely perform like your previous four hires.

I'm sure you think when Ms Terry tells Nick it's time to hang it up, your brain trust will go out and hire another legend in the making and the dynasty will keep rollin', baby.
Pro tip: it's not going to work out that way.

Hell no! Tubs was the biggest underachiever ever. Auburn could have been a juggernaut, but he was too damn lazy to get out and recruit.
