Lies, damn lies and statistics. Overall good job. However, you worked in a couple of deceptive stats. If you're gonna subtract the wins against the lesser East teams and non-P5 teams, then you gotta subtract those games from the total games played. We didn't play 112 total games against teams that weren't in the subtracted categories, we played 65 games, as you just said. All the itemized records went through this season - except against the other Big 6 teams. Apparently, you wanted to show a zero win percentage, so you ended that stat at 2014 instead of 2016 because we beat Florida and Georgia this season. Lies, damn lies and statistics.

This guy is smarter than the OP.

Should Vols still be considered Big 6 worthy?

Even if OP adjusts the stats as you suggest, they'll still be quite ugly.

Carolina's now 5-4 in the series with UTK in your chosen time frame. not sure why you'd place the Gamecocks in to make you're point against them seem more desolate.

At 3.19 this morning. How many of you were thinking about Mississippi state?

So ... South Carolina is 5-4 against Tennessee since 2008. It's the closest series in the SEC this millennium in terms of scoring margin. 3 of UT's wins against SC since 2008 have either come in OT or were last minute or second games.
I do believe Mizzou is what, 3-2 vs UT since 2008?
You were fairly liberal with your wins subtractions. Okay, so against DII (FCS) teams ... we get that. Against non-PF teams even ... we get that.
But would you care to compare SC's overall record since 2008 with MSU's?
Nah, I didn't think so.
Carry on.

This truly is a historic slide.
The only other slide of a major SEC program that it compares to is LSU's streak from 1989-1999. In those 11 seasons LSU accumulated a record of 58-65-1 (47.1%)
If you take out mid-major non-conference opponents, it gets far worse. LSU typically played 2 or maybe 3 mid-majors each season. From 1989-1999, they played Tulane (7x), Arkansas State (2x), North Texas (2x), Houston (2x), Southern Miss, Akron, Rice, Ohio, New Mexico State, UTEP, Utah St., Idaho, and Colorado State. All total, LSU went 21-3 against these opponents. Their 21 mid-major wins came against weak opponents who sported a combined total record of 67-166-3 (29.0%).
If you take out these mid-majors, LSU's record in these 11 seasons drops to 37-62-1 (37.5%).
Next take out their 15 games against Vanderbilt and Kentucky.... LSU went a combined 8-7 against these two during this stretch... and it brings LSU's record against other teams to 29-55-1 during this period, for a winning percentage of just 34.7%.
