Posting this here because I don't want to poke the bear on the Coaching Changes Board or SEC Rant/Tiger Rant, but Orgeron is going to be the next LSU Head Coach. I have a family member that works for the LSU AD. Herman is likely to remain at Houston, Strong will shockingly remain at Texas (Chancellor is backing the Coach), and Jimbo stays at FSU. Based on what I've been told this has been a truly strange situation all the way around. Not sure how this is going to reflect on LSU once everything is in the open.

The competing insiders on the coaches board is hilarious.

Pretty sure Jimbo will be the guy, but I'll enjoy the melt if it's O.

There's no way Strong remains at Texas. Three losing seasons in a row. He might not make it to midnight.

I'm assuming Herman is only willing to stay at Houston, because Strong will still be at Texas.
Why else would anyone stay at a group of 5 school? If he stays at Houston and has another 9-3 or worse year, his star's shine will start to diminish.

Damn you should go ahead and post it over there. They
had two posters with sources that said it was gonna be
Herman and one that said Jimbo was a done deal.

Excellent call sir. I can't believe they struck out so hard.

How big would the melt be if Aranda leaves?

Your source is bad too

The only sources that are good are actual people in the room

LSU botched this hire. Someone on the rant said Herman or bust which seemed pretty accurate.

And when doing coaching hires that's the most terrible way to go about things..I'm sure there were more guys genuinely interested in the job who were more qualified than a lineman coach who was told to gtfo Ole Miss. I'd be pissed if I was them.
