Herman
Petrino
But I honestly don't see why either would leave where they are for LSU job.

IMHO:
Coach Miles runs a very loose, undisciplined, easy-going and soft program at LSU. There's really no accountability when somebody screws up.
SO, even if LSU makes a hire that is a Junior version of a Nick Saban clone, it will take a few years to re-furbish the program and establish and enforce the new standards.
Les Miles's poorly-coached, poorly-prepared, ill-disciplined, mentally and physically soft teams have been tolerated in Baton Rouge for years. It has never been a problem until now. Miles Ball was vociferously defended for years, until now.
These years of toleration of Miles Ball are not going to be radically changed in an instant; not even if the new head football coach is an outstanding football coach.
And what are the odds of the LSU powers-that-be hiring an outstanding head football coach? They have demonstrated that they themselves are not gifted with outstanding skills.

P.J. Fleck
A young, charismatic [experienced] player's coach.
Someone's going to grab him, and he's going to do big things.

It would scare the frick out of me if they kept Miles. I hope they don't do that.
(This would be funnier if he, in fact, didn't own our azz.)

Petrino would scare me at A&M/LSU and possibly Auburn. Give him access to stud talent and a good QB and SEC tricked

Houston Nutt
I understand he'd like to coach again. Hire the Nuttster.

Chip Kelly would terrify me. His system at LSU would absolutely destroy the competition. LA + TX talent under Chip would be pretty devastating for the SEC West.
