19-26 234 against a good defense
but 0 touchdowns Wish they could get this fixed. Really need to fix the red zone.

He hit Stephens in the hands for a sure TD. Dropped.
He completed one to Stephens, over the middle, where Stephens immediately tripped on a blade of grass. That may could have gone for a long TD.
SW played a great game tonight.

PLAYCALLING IS STILL A FRIGGIN SHITESHOW
Posted on 9/24/16 at 9:31 pm to AU24
Tony Stevens dropped at least 1 TD pass, likely 2.
But, yeah, SW having to throw in predictable passing downs all night and only getting 19-26 for 234 when one of the better defenses knew it was coming? frick him.
(Not talking to you, AU24)

Our QBs are setup for failure with Gus
Posted on 9/24/16 at 9:34 pm to Rhymenoceros
This isn't pee wee football. If Gus wants to coach at this level, he has to show he can adjust when he doesn't have the deck stacked liked Saban.
He hasn't shown that. He needs to go. AU needs to do the hard thing.

White is a baller. Just needs the plays to open up his potential. He is still missing passes but I know he could do it if Gus would build around him.

Why don't we just wait till the end of the year since we're not going to fire him in the middle of the year anyways

Sean White apologists out in full force
Not sure how anyone thinks SW is a good option yet somehow this board is convinced he has what it takes to win 10+

He is still missing passes
Here's the thing I keep explaining to people.
Tom Brady misses passes.
Peyton fricking Manning missed passes.
ALL quarterbacks "miss passes" no matter how damn good they are.
Now is SW Tom Brady or Peyton Manning? Hell no. Not even a vague resemblance. But he's not going to have a 100% completion percentage either. He's gonna underthrow some receivers. He's gonna overthrow some. QUARTERBACKS DO THAT.
I think his completion % tonight was what? 76%? What would it have been if Stevens had caught the 1st down he dropped, the TD he dropped, and the possible TD he dropped?
Sean White is the one of the LEAST of our problems on offense. Priorities to fix on offense go like this (1) Gus/Rhett (2) Herb Hand/OL (3) WRs dropping balls (4) Sean White (5) running backs.

Sean White haters still believing if he ain't perfect when 90% of his throws are on obvious passing downs trying to push back with their idiocy.
And their logic is so weak they have to throw out strawmen and lies to support it.

He's the best option we have. How many drops did we have tonight? He played a very solid game. He isn't a QB that can put the entire O on his back. You just want to bitch no matter what the kid does.

That's like excusingg Ricardo s dropped passes because -NFL WRs drop passes too.
Sean White isn't good.

I agree he is not perfect. Just concerned with receivers having to stop on routes and long overthrown balls that have to be there. He is going to get better and make those throws. His available plays are the issue. He needs to get plays that let him get there. And I thought the OL showed some improvement out of the red zone.

I still feel the way I have always felt. He isn't dynamic. Not in our O or anybody's O. He is a 6-8 win QB in our league. He does some things really well, but he has some serious limitations. I do agree with his fan club. Sometimes the play calling hurts him, but it is a bit of a chicken and the egg issue. You can't exactly throw the kitchen sink at them with SW.
I am thankful for how hard he plays and the manner by which he approaches things.

Sean can win and be serviceable with the right play calls. But yes point stands that Gus needs a dual threat to fully run a powerful offense.
But to say Sean isn't good is bullshite.

White also threw a laser, instead of a putting air up under the ball to Stevens in the end zone. Not what you want to do when you have a 6'4 WR matched up 1-1. He also missed a sure touchdown to Stevens when there was no one around him.

How many throws did he miss tonight? I remember two, both being deep balls, and guess what, the further you throw the less accurate you are. His deep balls are below average however but it's his only weakness I've discerned.

Out of the 26 attempts how many were not in obvious passing situations? Maybe 4.
