Apache just found biggest oil find in the last decade in West Texas on University lands, shared by aTm and UT, aTm will get a cut of 20% which goes to University Fund

It's 33%, I'm pretty sure almost none of this is on the university land. Apache has been buying up the land for this for two years. It's all in southern Reeves county.

The PUF is split 1/3 and 2/3 between the two flagship systems. The UT system is twice as large as the A&M system and gets 2/3. Not one dollar of the PUF goes toward athletics. It all goes to the system endowments that are used for research and academics. None of this goes to the Texas Tech or UH systems.
But since you likely didn't graduate from a university in either system, you wouldn't know this.
You'd be better served to post on what you actually know, like asking people if "they'd like fries with that."
