Tubbs. He found 2 stars and made them all Americans. Hugh just writes checks.

That's just lazy commentary. Give me real analysis. This is a Internet message board for crying out loud.

Tubbs
He won with the more sustainable methods - running game and defense
If it wasn't for the Byzantine back room politics in the Auburn AD at the time he may have stayed much longer.

Hugh would chew through that pine box

Even as much of a buddy as he was to me at school, I have to disagree. John Youngblood is serviceable, but he's no success story unless he has some kind of breakout year.

Both were great at Ole Miss but Tuberville underachieved toward the end and never went above a mediocre record. Hugh has surpassed all expectations and has a stable team prepped for longterm success. Hugh is a better coach by far.

Tuberville easily.

Ehhh, those loss of scholarships really start to hurt after a couple of years.

I don't think you read the OP. It's comparing TT's first 4 years at auburn, not comparing HF and TT at ole miss

Tuberville. Won the West in his 2nd year.

The winner.
Tubby got complacent at the end and had some consistency issues, but overall, I think he was clearly the better coach.
