SEC related as EMCC puts/has put several players in the SEC. Looks like it could be pretty interesting.

No junior college football program in Mississippi earns and receives more attention than East Mississippi Community College, as a result of its three national titles and consistent pipeline of talent to Division I programs.
GQ took notice, and now Netflix has with a six-part documentary series titled, "Last Chance U."
The trailer for the show just premiered — and it looks worthy of your attention. It follows EMCC through the 2015 season, which was one full of controversy — coach Buddy Stephens was suspended for taking a swing at a game administrator, and the whole team cost itself a shot at a fourth-straight national championship with a brawl. The latter, and part of Stephens' immediate reaction, is in the trailer.
The show premieres July 29.

Its a football factory, that's for sure. There is no education happening at that place.

Not entirely true, but that's generally the way JUCO football programs operate. The whole point is to get players eligible. I played at a different JUCO in Mississippi for a couple of years - not because of grades, but because I was small for an offensive lineman and wanted more teams to get a serious look at me and have a chance to be re-recruited... the coaching staff were our academic advisors. They had every single one of us in classes like "Basketball Theory" and "Softball Theory." Those courses obviously don't even transfer to a 4 year school, but they act as a major GPA booster to a guy who may have trouble pulling off a passing grade of 60 in a math class.
Eligibility is the only end game at JUCOs.

They did a great job of rehabbing Pettway and showing him the error of his ways... He hasn't assaulted any more honkeys for their electronics since attending EMCC... Good job Scooba.. Nick Saban thanks you.

It may have changed in the last few years, but at the time the football program had a good mix between guys on the team in trying to move on to the next level and guys in vo-tech programs like auto body repair, construction etc. I always thought the vo-tech guys were getting something of value that they could use later in life, whereas many of the players enrolled in the academic programs...well, not so much.

Looks like a good show and I love a good redemption story. I'll watch it. #2010Natty

The kid Auburn signed wasn't even the starter for EMCC last year.
For those who don't know
SPOILER******************************
EMCC was in line to play for another national championship but some crazy stuff happened like their jerk of a HC Buddy Stephens got into a fight with a ref and his whole team had a bench clearing brawl vs Mississippi Delta CC and the game was called at halftime. Emcc was barred from the MS playoffs
