Never use flour tortillas for enchiladas! EVER.

Just have to vent.
Researching recipes for enchiladas. I can't believe how many people think it is is acceptable to use flour tortillas.
Flour tortillas just make a gooey paste when you use them this way.
Even read one where the author said the only reason they used flour was that it is easier. I hate lazy cooks. Cook it right or don't do it at all.
Rant over.

I usually fix chimichangas (baked) or burritos and use whole wheat tortillas.

I prefer flour tortillas as a rule, but unless you REALLY know what the frick you're doing, you're better off not using them for enchiladas.

In all seriousness I prefer corn tortillas, though my fiance has recently started making them from scratch and holy shite are they incredible.
Pretty sure I have never had any issue with flour tortillas and enchiladas, not that I fix that dish often. Carnitas are where its at for me.

Secondly, Tex-Mex isn't Mexican. It's Texan. It's better.
Thirdly, we'll eat what we want, when we want. Given that America is to the world as Texas is to America, Tex-Mex is apropos.
